Dine in. 2/1/25 Dinner.
Specifically requested for Chicken ramen / Chicken broth and vegetables. After a wait of almost 45 minutes and repeated follow-ups, we were served our food (both ramen orders) rather disdainfully by another server (not the one who took our order).
To my dismay, both the orders were messed up. One did not have egg but we were charged for it; the other order had pork in it instead of chicken. When asked to clarify, the reason given was that there were only 2 chefs and they were busy..and it was an unforeseen mistake. Even so, there was not even a genuine apology and an offer to remake the order. It felt that it did not matter to this server whether we dined there or not.
It was highly condescending and disgusting to even engage with her. Hence, paid for the Pork ramen $31 and left the place.
It was our first time visiting this restaurant and we had traveled from Castlepines to dine here encouraged by the previous reviews. To be met with this kind of disrespectful behavior is not acceptable to us. However great supposedly the food is, the service is horrible and the attitude of the servers is not worth mentioning.
Never again ! There are definitely other Japanese Ramen restaurants that will receive our customership and...
Read moreI originally reviewed this in early 2025 and thought it was pretty good. I've since returned and this time I got the spicy Korean kimchi ramen and it was excellent. My biggest complaint was the chasu was very very fatty, I ended up picking out large chunks of lone fat from the ramen, but otherwise it was really good, so I'm bumping this up to a 4.
My original review from earlier in the year:
Consider this a good 3, like a 3.5. I got the ramen lunch special with shoyu pork ramen and pork friend rice. Both were a little too salty, but still good. I really liked the pork fried rice, it had all the things I think fried rice should with nice little chunks of pork, egg, and veggies, with a nice tasty rice fry. The ramen wasn't my favorite, but not bad. This ramen did not have a soft boiled egg, mushrooms, vegetables (aside from some shredded carrots), or naruto, and the chasu was not very tender. I do have a favorite ramen place that's closed on Tuesdays, so that's why I tried this and I don't regret it. I'll come back and try some other stuff, but if I just wanted ramen I'd prefer Asuka, but I'd still be...
Read moreThis was a great disappointment for me I ordered the pork miso went to the restroom came back out found that my bowl was already at my table not really comfortable with that being the only person at my table and there's other people in the restaurant. My bowl of pork miso was covered sesame oil a full tablespoon worth. My pork I needed to cut up just so I could eat it The tofu that I had asked for wasn't even fried it was just raw tofu and the kicker is the noodles I thought we're going to be really good but they were moldy I had to pay over $23 for food that I was trying to force down. Side note I couldn't do it I'm still hungry. I was literally spooning out sesame oil had to cut my own meat into bite size found that the egg that's supposed to be soaked in soy sauce it was really watered down flavored soy sauce if that makes any sense. Didn't do the pickled ginger not a fan of it so I can't rate that but moldy unedible noodles I am actually worried for my health today trust me I won't...
