Enterprise Library — Attraction in Enterprise

Terrible library! Shame on them for scamming people with book rentals! I have e-mails from them for thee entire year last year that encouraged me to continue to hold onto the books I had rented, so I did! Then while I am in the process of moving I don’t check my e-mails for a month or so as I am getting settled into the new place, working a bunch, etc. I finally am able to make my way to the library to return the books thinking everything is all hunky dory! Oh noooo….not at all actually. They turned me into collections over books that were returned come to find out! I did end up finding their e-mails, in my SPAM folder mind you,notifying me that they finally wanted their books back and that I had no more time to hold onto them, after almost half a year of holding onto them, only! because they kept e-mailing me encouraging me to do so and I didn’t have a car so I was like sweet! Ridiculous experience. I’d rather not ever pay them for trying to scam me out of my hard earned money than to ever be able to rent from them again. I’ll just read the books AT the Library...

update: the history selection here is not very good. absolutely nothing on ancient mesopotamia, before that i wanted to dive into the 18th century aouthwest, specifically its indigineous nations..nothing

while the borrow system is fluent, its still a waiting period-often 5 days or more. I would prefer they do better, get off their cimputers and twitter, and WORK to recognize the constant glut they have in some sections and nada in others. need cooking and political propoganda books? this is your place

they also have 1, yes 1 single computer open for reference and inventory and its low to the ground with its chair feeling like a 900 lb bohemoth sat in it.

open up 1 standing and 1 handicap lazies.

also get more social workers to help you with the tunnel dwellers that sleep and otherwise occupy themselves in...

This library is the BEST! I've been coming here for 17 years since I moved to Las Vegas. At that time I used the free computers to check my E-mail and such. Now I bring my 2 kids to choose piles of books and educational dvd's to watch in the minivan. Story time is sooo fun and they have a GREAT play area with toys, puzzles, giant Lincoln logs and a mini kitchen with plastic food. Sometimes we check out 30 books at a time, especially while we were doing potty training! If you can't find a book to return it just talk to them and they will give you an extension. They also frequently auto-renew for me when I reach my due date for movies and books. Such a wonderful free resource, this is my happy place.
