Parking is available right at the site, which makes it easy to stop and explore. The walking path to the lake was still covered in snow during my visit, and honestly, it felt like just another small lake within the park. I also walked over to Little Tipsoo Lake — both lakes had noticeably low water levels at the time.

There are plenty of trails that start from the parking lot, so the area stays fairly active with people coming and going. On clear days, you’re supposed to get an incredible view of Mount Rainier from here, but unfortunately, it was all cloudy when I visited, so the mountain stayed hidden.
