Deborah's Next To New Consignment — Attraction in Escondido

I have been a regular customer at this store for purchasing items, and I recently decided to try their consignment process. Initially, I thought it would be a great way to sell some of my items, but my experience has been quite disappointing.

I typically visit the store once a week or every other week to check on the status of my consignment items. I consigned a small sofa with a consignment agreement stating it would be sold for $99. However, when I checked the price tag, I noticed it was listed for more than $99. This was not an isolated incident; I observed similar discrepancies with several other items on my invoice.

When I inquired about my items, I was often told they hadn’t sold yet, even when they were no longer on the floor. I was informed that it takes a few weeks for sales to reflect in my consignment account, so I waited. After a few weeks, I was shocked to receive only $16 for the sofa, which had been priced at around $149 and sold in less than three weeks.

This experience has left me feeling very disappointed. It seems they underestimate customers and take advantage of those who may not be fully aware of the consignment process. After discussing this with my husband, I decided I would not return to this store and would share my experience through a review.

If you are considering consigning items here, I strongly recommend taking a picture of the price tag upon signing the consignment agreement and checking back regularly to monitor the status of your items. Overall, I am very unhappy with their customer service and the way they handled my consignment, especially considering the low payout for items I had cherished for many years.

My mom has been shopping here for many years. Recently we’ve had an issue with the lady at the front desk just very rude and short with us.
