The venue itself was alright, however, the event itself (the Lane County Fair) was horribly expensive to do ANYTHING, and not worth the cost at all... Rides were on average 10 tickets each, which comes out to around $5 per ride... The rides themselves lasted between 45-seconds to 1.5 minutes... Insanely short considering the monetary cost.
Additionally, a heat wave hit the day I took my kids, and temperatures were well into the upper 90's / lower 100's. Despite the incredible heat, there was only 1, single, small misting station which remained crowded throughout the day... Given the time of year, and the ease with which children can become overheated, it would have been far more responsible and considerate for them to have had at least one or more misting stations evenly distributed throughout the fair grounds....
TLDR Summary: the fair now costs FAR too much, considering the value of entertainment provided, and it's quite clear that the purveyors of said fair are looking to cut costs back by any means possible. RECOMMENDATION: SKIP IT ENTIRELY AND TAKE THE KIDS TO SEE A MOVIE INSTEAD... IT'LL BE CHEAPER, AND ENTERTAIN...
Read moreThe Circus is in Town! The Water Circus, anyway, & and my daughter, along with her mother, were excited to attend. The show itself was interesting & the performances were very good . My daughter absolutely loved the event, often dancing & and singing along, which was very heartwarming. The Event Center & the Circus of 🇮🇹 Italy seemed to be well organized, so it seems the first time West Coast tour by the Group was a success. Be prepared, though, to open your wallet wide , the concession stands are not consumer friendly & the ticket prices were 30$ for adults & $20 gor kids & a 12 oz can of Coke was going for 4$, which was too much for me to bare so I returned it in dismay blurting out an expletive that was involuntarily uttered. In defense, traveling entertainment companies have endured record fuel, lodging & food prices, which makes the costly endeavor even more so, which is then passed onto to the people attending. It was a very entertaining show that I can recommend when they...
Read moreI've been in this building approximately five times now. Never for an event. I have never seen it, full of tables, booths and a crowd. Each time I was there, was for the Egan warming center. Which is a great volunteer operated, program. Which gives homeless and/or shelterly challenged people an opportunity to sleep Inside, protected from the elements. It's operation is dependent on able and capable volunteers. Who provide Bedding, blankets, hot beverages, and food, for guests and patrons, free of charge. In conclusion the building is very well maintained, including the land scaping, even during the winter months when it's not being utilized for events. I'd like to personally thank you for allowing, this program to happen. I have personally whitnessed the Tom foolery and shenanigans that takes place. Your patience, and acceptance is a blessing all of it's own. Stay safe, warm, and full just like you...
