I am not typically the type of person to write a bad review for any company, but after the situation we found ourselves in in dealing with our reservation through Enchanted Treehouses, I felt it was necessary to write a review so that everyone will be aware of what they may find themselves dealing with if an entirely unpredictable & devastating circumstance prevents them from being able to have their stay at this facility. We had reserved a treehouse Friday-Sunday to celebrate our one-year wedding anniversary, & my mother passed away unexpectedly that Friday morning. We understood that a late cancellation would imply that we would be out our deposit, and we called to tell them that we would not be able to be there Friday due to my mother’s passing, but we would try to come Saturday at best. But Saturday ended up being a day full of funeral planning, which was incredibly difficult on my family, and I felt I was needed to stay home to help with these arrangements, so my husband called to say we would not be coming. However, our credit card was still charged the full amount for a 2-night weekend stay that we did not get to have. We even asked if we might be able to change our reservation for another weekend, and we would pay in full for that, but they refused to budge. After a couple of phone calls, they agreed that they would charge us only the deposit amount, which we were 100% fine with, considering we were having to cancel on extremely short notice. However, only an hour later, we received another phone call stating that she didn’t feel like my husband was “sorry enough” when he called to inform her of why we would not be able to stay, and she had decided to proceed with charging us the full amount for a 2 night stay. So, not only did we have to deal with the death of my mother, but we also had to go through this terrible experience with them as well. Unfortunately with completely unexpected deaths, you don’t always get a heads up to cancel plans, and in dealing with this management, it has been made clear that they will have no sympathy or flexibility with those being put in these difficult circumstances and their bookings. Two of our family members have already chosen to cancel their bookings with Enchanted Treehouses because of the unprofessional management that they displayed in helping us with this situation, and because of their way of handling this, I will not be recommending them to anyone again. EDIT: this owner has continually called us liars about the circumstances we have gone through, on every source that we have posted a legitimate review. Who calls someone who has gone through the death of any loved one a liar? Do you require a death certificate to believe that this is a legitimate reason as to why we were unable to make it to this reservation? And who is she to decide when a person sounds "sorry enough" about the death of a loved one? What terrible business management. My "story" has never changed; in fact, I copy & pasted my review onto every review site I could find, yet she continues to say I am lying and changing the story? I wish with all my heart that there were a way to change this story, however there is not. I hope this person never has to go through what we have been through. We desperately wanted to keep this reservation; we needed a getaway after all that we have been through, and when we were unable to, this owner has made the situation even worse. She is grasping at straws to justify her actions - actions which have no justification. In addition, she has posted untrue details of what she believes she has been told of my mother's health journey on every response to my reviews. She accused me of using secondhand information, when she is doing exactly that. I never requested for anyone to call her aside from my husband, when I knew it would be too difficult to explain the circumstances of our cancellation myself, and she is punishing us for acts that were not our own. Not only is this poor and unprofessional business; these are inexcusable acts as a general...
Read moreMy guy and I visited the Enchanted Treehouses for my birthday. What a magical three days it was. We are already planning another visit!! ||We stayed in Briar Rose. A chalkboard next to the front door with our names on it welcomed us to the treehouse. Two Adirondack chairs were on the front deck. When we walked through the door, we entered a cozy room, decorated in different shades of blue. There was a small kitchen area with a table, fireplace with a TV above it. There was also a gas fireplace with a TV above it and wicker chair suspended from the ceiling. To the right of the door was the bathroom with a tiled walk-in shower. Also to our right was a king size bed and next to that was a Jacuzzi tub for two surrounded by windows that looked out over a wooded area. On the backside of the treehouse was a deck with two chairs and a grill. The back deck ended up being our favorite place to hang out. Looking out over the wooded area was quiet and peaceful. Even though there are other tree houses in this area, because of all of the trees, you felt like you had the place to yourself because you could not hear or see any of your neighbors. On the front of the treehouse, at night, lights would come on to light your way up the pathway and stairs if you returned after dark.||As far as the special touches and amenities, they thought of everything. There is a coffee pot with a supply of ground coffee, so you can leave your K cups at home. The kitchen is also stocked with basic pots and pans and anything you would need to put together a small meal. There is no oven, but there is a stove top with two burners and an apartment size refrigerator with a freezer compartment. A microwave sits on top of the refrigerator. There’s also a toaster, wine glasses, and any dishes you will need for your stay.||In the bathroom, there is a supply of towels and a hairdryer as well as travel sizes of shampoo, conditioner and soap. The only thing I was missing was a make up mirror. If you’re like me and you need a small mirror to put in contacts or make up, you might want to bring one along.||There is also a DVD player with a small selection of DVDs as well as a deck of cards and assorted card games.||Everything was neat and tidy and clean and it was the perfect weekend. We cannot...
Read moreWhat a wonderful experience my wife and I had at the treehouses this past weekend. My wife had found these a few years back but we weren't able to get down to them until now. Wish we would of gone sooner! Booking was a breeze online (tip: book early, they fill up fast!), and communication was top notch. Tina called us the day of and confirmed our arrival time and that the unit we stayed in was cleaned and even open for early check-in! We stayed in the Snow White treehouse, which was at the very end of the driveway, so quite secluded. All of the houses are secluded and you don't feel like you are anywhere near civilization, even though you are a very close drive to all kinds of things. The property is easy to find, as you go into Eureka Springs, just Google Maps the actual business name and it'll take you there. The house itself was immaculately clean, modern and well kept. We loved the digital fireplace to cut the nip in the air and to keep the room warm. The bed was very comfortable and the jacuzzi tub is very relaxing after a day of hiking around ES or the Ozark Mountains. Unlike some places we've stayed at, there was actually enough continuous hot water to fill the tub! The kitchen is well appointed and has everything you need to cook meals if you wanted to. The back deck looks out over a valley and you do feel like you are in the trees with birds flying around and such. Our first morning we saw a couple deer eating their way down the slope. Overall our impression was "wow, who knew Arkansas had this scenery and terrain!" I think one word sums it all up, peaceful. The calm is what we need in life sometimes and this provided it. I can't recommend...
