❌ 8/12/25 I’ve seen the same commercials for weeks 500 times a day. Every 5 minutes!!!
Attention: Cancel Everything Optimum… They are completely dishonest.
❌8/12/25 I Hate Optimum… They give you credits then they remove them after they give them to you. 3 hours on the phone. 7 different agents. Never again. It’s happened several times. Don’t trust them… Calling them is a nightmare… Reported BBB.

Local is not BIG TIME… We live in a small town. Basic Cable is $188 a month. Optimum is the only cable provider. They take advantage of people.
❌ Don’t get their Cable TV. Optimum will bombard you with their commercials. The programming is horrible.
❌ Channels have 10 - 16 commercials every 6 minutes. Does Optimum need money from Advertising… What a ripoff. Total SCAM. We’re paying for ENDLESS COMMERCIALS.
❌ There’s a reason Optimum is 1/2 the price of AT+T - Verizon. It’s Horrific. AT+T doesn’t harass you like Optimum does. AT+T hasn’t raised my bill in 40 years. Optimum will raise your bill in a year or less… Read the fine print. It’s so small, you can’t read it.
❌ Calling Optimum is a nightmare.
❌ Turn up the volume on your cable boxes… Fix the sound on your channels. We have to pay for this. Lower the price on your cable TV or fix it. Stop ripping people off.
❌ Don’t do it. They tell you they will charge you one amount and then they charge you something else. All information given to me was false.
The Optimum agent(S) don’t take responsibility for anything. They just pass the incompetence around. Hours on the phone and I wasn’t even a customer yet. Calls are recorded. Useless.
I was told there would be a promotion price for the tenants in our newly constructed building. It didn’t happen.
They’re trying to force me to buy internet, which I don’t need, If I don’t buy it, they said, they won’t give me Cable TV… That ended up being totally false information given by… Leslie Munoz and her Supervisor / Resident Executives. They get Commission. Couldn’t get a hold of their Manager, even though he just got back from vacation. I was given several different prices and the wrong information.
Finally… A woman in the Retention Department helped me.
5 agents 2 hours on the phone. No one knows what’s going on. Every single person tells me something different.
This has been a total Nightmare. Their unprofessionalism and inconsistency has caused so much unnecessary stress. Don’t believe a word they tell you.
I don’t know how it’s possible, They’re worse than Suddenlink.
Finally, a positive experience. Thank you Retention Department for taking care of me when no one else did. I wouldn’t have service if it wasn’t for you.
Optimum is so inconsistent, Every time you talk to someone, it’s like talking to a different company. It’s a nightmare.
They sent my first bill to the wrong address. They play the same reruns over and over.

Read moreEvery time I call it is a 20 minute wait or longer. I have to call multiple times because right around 20 minutes of waiting for some sort of customer service the call gets dropped. And then I have to call back to start over and jump back in line. I recently increased my Internet service, was told that they would send me out a new modem for the higher speed Internet. It never came. Called them back a week and a half to two weeks later and they told me a technician needs to come out to set up a new modem. They scheduled me for a technician to show up and the technician never came. I called back A week and a half to two weeks later to talk with the supervisor and complain about the service that I received. The person I talk to you was nice but less than helpful. When asking to talk to a supervisor who was “busy“ The person on the phone said to let him try to help solve the situation. 10 minutes of talking about what i has gone through the last month, what I wanted and needed with my internet and waiting for a supervisor and He did not get me a modem in the mail or a technician scheduled. Just wasted my time. through my frustration I talked about wanting to cancel my service with Sudden Link. and just deal with everything through my cell phone carrier because that is better than nothing due to the frustration of the service that they provide. Then he asked me what cell phone carrier I have and And proceeded to try to get me to switch over to their cell phone service. I told him with the service that Has been provided By his company just to get faster Internet at my house what makes him think that I would want to try to get cell phone service through them. I told him I was not interested in cell phone service and just wanted to talk to a supervisor to complain about not getting any service. He then put me on hold to wait for a supervisor and the call dropped. At this point I was so frustrated that I called to cancel my service. I told them why I wanted to cancel which is stated above and then magically they were able to get a technician out the next day and the modem and get me all squared away in 15 minutes. The only thing It took to get that was a month of frustration to be able to talk to someone who could actually help me. Fast forward a week and a half later and I call again for support get put on hold 20 minutes after being on hold call drops. Long wait times and call droppings seem to be a thing for this company.
