We had a really nice time at the Hilton Home2 Suites in Eureka. I will definitely recommend it to my friends/anyone visiting again. I live here but I enjoyed my stay too :) . The hotel was in a perfect location for us because it was right across the street from a bus stop and right behind the hotel there's a nature trail. There was a bowling alley next door, several restaurants, a dispensary and my fav Anglin's thrift store within a couple blocks. The hotel had modern amenities, the usb, USBc chargers everywhere was convenient. I loved the all day hot drinks in the lobby area (coffee, tea, cocoa). The staff was friendly, it felt like there was always staff available if we needed anything and they did ask us throughout our stay. The food was hot, and plentiful, everything was clean. They had a waffle maker with a selection of fixins, yogurt, cerials, Jimmy Dean sandwiches & omelette bowls that were prepackaged. The 24/7 fitness room has a nice Pelotón bike which was fun. I would recommend checking that out. There were several outdoor seating areas that were gated. I wish we had spent more time in there, especially the one with the...
Read moreYou can tell the parking lot was poorly constructed, about half of the lot is compact only. The parking lot was full when my family arrived around 7:30pm. I tried to park on side of building near pool area and the staff said no it was against policy and was a fire lane, which I get they shouldn’t get in trouble with their job. However, the “fire lane” was not painted/labeled nor was there any signage indicating it was a fire lane. I would recommend getting that sorted out and making it clear for all guests since it seems like a safety hazard. I ended up parking on the street in a very sketchy area and had to walk to the hotel. The room itself was comfortable and modern, only downside was the toilet kept filling up throughout the night keeping my grand baby up and about half of the provided channels on the tv were not working. When I contacted front desk they were unable to resolve either of these issues. Although this is a new and clean hotel there were lots of hiccups that would prevent me from coming back here again, especially at the rate we paid. Props to Ashley at front desk for...
Read moreWe stayed here at the end of July. The hotel is a very nice new hotel in a not-so-nice area. Front desk staff was very attentive and helpful upon check-in. About three hours after we checked in, we received an alert from the National Weather Service advising as to evacuate the area due to a tsunami warning. In our haste to leave, we didn't inquire about billing and I was disappointed to see we were billed for our full stay. When I contacted Hilton, I was told there was nothing they could do. Under the circumstances, it was disappointing as the hotel was nice and I would otherwise recommend but probably wouldn't stay there in the future based on this.
Edited to add: We reached out to the hotel as requested to investigate further. They claimed they were not in the tsunami zone. We had checked the maps which showed they were. Quite frankly there was no reason I needed to reach out because the hotel was completely unhelpful and I've edited my scores to...
