It's a safe place to have fun for a good price. It's a great way to build skills that create confidence. You can't help but be working on your balance while you're doing this, which makes you overall healthier and safer next time we would have accidentally strained our back. It prevents injuries down the road to invest some time skating, it really does. And it keeps your ligaments flexible so they won't tear as easily. It's very very good for your health. There is no crime in this building. The entrance fees are reasonable for every time slot. And it gives teens a place to have their first jobs. It is so important for kids to have a positive workplace experience to build off of. I think it's great that their DJ is a "younger person" anyone they give that role to will be practicing their leadership skills. I see adults here that skate or don't skate, and it looks like a great way for parents or relatives to spend time with their families without a TV. A lot less people do cell phone things in here because they love what they're doing. Overall it's an environment where anyone of any age can build positive memories. And some people get so good at it that it is really enjoyable to see the tricks they can do. I saw all kids of people trying backwards and 1 foot skating. I even saw someone basically riding the edges of their skates. Very solid way to spend a couple of hours. I would say that some admission prices are honestly very fair. They do upkeep. It has air conditioning. There are bathrooms with toilet paper and soap. They'll even refill your water bottle for free. Some of the admission even includes skate rental, but even if it doesn't you get a lot for the cost. You get to practice on a safe surface in a controlled environment with no cars and no sun and no little rocks or dips. And the money you spent gave jobs to high school kids. Kids that are motivated to do stuff that doesn't involve smoking or bad influences. Id say even if you personally don't want to skate here, please try to encourage people you know to remember it as an option. For parties, dates, or as an alternative to boring adult gyms. Every community could benefit from a skating rink being in business. My adult best friend had so much fun at the skating rink when we were 14. She still remembers it as a 33 year old. How much fun she had. And she takes her kids in a...
Read moreThis place has gone down hill for sure. I wS part of a work personnel before they officially opened years ago and got to know the owners and managers very well, sad to say the owners passed away and the good manager left. The rink guards do not stop kids from doing things they should not and even went past kids throwing shoes on rink floor at others and did nothing. Had a Party and we had food and drinks on the tables, dirty fur balls that wS on the ceiling was floating down and landing not only on the people but also in my drink and food. That used to be cleaned every 6 months to keep that from happening, but I looked has not been done in long time. Food or pizza had no sauce and whT little sauce their was had no taste at all, I actually got sick to.my stomach after eating the pizza we had cheese and pepperoni. The kids who use the triangles to help them learn to skate are all over the floor and dart in front of others skating which should not be allowed someone is going to get hurt and no enforcement of rules at all. Asked for use of a tool for personal skates the kid had no knowledge of tools or parts of skates like the trunk of a skate, no knowledge yet he was in charge if helping others with skates, he was rude and didn't want to be bothered. The people who work there have areas they work in and that's where they stay, they dont help with other areas, and I have been there many times, i can no longer skate so I sit and watch my child and what's going on around me, the language is not good, the fact that kids have and use their cell phones while in the skate rink skating and jus stop cause they are on their phone in the middle of the floor and again the guards do nothing. It really saddens me that something that others took the time nd love to put into this rink to make it good like it used to be and now it has fallen to a bad and sad state, I know how much some love this place and would roll over seeing it look and actions like this. If their was another skating rink and not ice skating but roller skating my child would not go here and that would be the end of the family tradition we have created with this rink. Things need to Change and get cleaned. No wonder not that many...
Read moreJust booked my daughters 13th bday party tonight and it was a blast. Staff was so friendly and accommodated everyone fairly. There were food options for the kids at our party who couldn't have milk, cheese, and egg products and for the children who simply just didnt want pizza. Take the time and the little extra to book a private party because you really get to beat the crowd and keep things more regulated. It's always a great time at skateworld. Haylee was amazing and always greeted us with a smile on her face. They played some games during our parties and kept all the kiddos occupied and busy! Pizza was delicious and our drinks never went empty! They even helped us to clean up during the party to keep things manageable! They provided cups for drinks since we forgot ours and they usually provide plates etc as well we just wanted to keep a color theme so brought our own. We Absolutely love this local business and will continue to host future parties with Skateworld. It's a shame to see multiple negative reviews on here from people who didn't even have an experience with this company for themselves. If you follow the rules that are posted you won't have an issue! Thank you Skateworld and Haylee for a great...
