A terrible experience and ability experience amc in Marlton NJ . I went to watch the new lion king movie today 12/24/24 bought snacks purchased tickets and arrived early to watch the previews. The movie was supposed to start at 7:10pm once the movie started it was blurry employees quickly came over to give out glasses. I requested a refund because my husband has a TBI (traumatic brain injury) from a deployment he is a combat soldier . I explained we literally can not watch something in 3D he would end up in the hospital. JOE the manager only gave a partial refund and told me thatâs all he could do when I asked him why he said contact customer service . I was having an issue with contacting through email and couldnât get ahold on phone call so I went back inside then KAREN the manager came up and said that I need to go on Facebook or twitter I asked if they could give us a movie pass to come back she said no I asked why she said âbecause I donât want toâ I said why? She said we gave you a partial refund thatâs enough. So then I explained that a partial refund is still not a refund plus the inconvenience. Now this next part is the part I recorded and I am very upset about . I told Karen my husband can not watch 3D he has a tbi . She said idk what that is I said he is a combat veteran who got a traumatic brain injury while oversees she responded âthatâs not my problem â so AMC I would like to know if thatâs how you all feel about wounded soldiers. ? I asked her what her GM name was and she refused to give it to me I asked Joe he also refused. I recorded this conversation I let them know they were being recorded and that NJ is a one party consent state, I asked them to say it louder and again and told them they were being recorded then they walked away. Right because they shouldnât have said that.. So Karen and Joe both managers at AMC in Marlton Nj both didnât want to give me their general managers name or contact information both wouldnât give me a movie voucher and worst of all itâs ânot their problemâ when a veteran who sustained a life long injury overseas comes to watch a movie and the theater changed the movie we paid to watch now wonât issue a full refund.? I am requesting this issue be handled promptly and appropriately because this is unacceptable. I have spent 100s and 100s of dollars at AMC to then go on Christmas Eve and the movie be changed and refused compensation!? We literally could NOT watch the movie and that can be medically proven along with video evidence of this incident and the...

Last weekend opening weekend of the End game movie, my son and I visited your establishment where I purchased A large collectable bucket popcorn and a large drink.
In the midst of one of the staff filling the popcorn. A few pieces of popcorn fell on the counter and the staff member (who was originally at the register where I stood waiting for my food) Picked up the pieces that feel out of the popcorn bucket on to the counter with his bare hand and put the popcorn pieces back into my sons popcorn bucket.
When the young man attempted to hand me the bucket of popcorn I confronted him in front of another staff member, a female older woman possible a Manager. The young man initially denied putting the popcorn that fell on the counter located near the pop corn station back in the popcorn bucket, as well as with his bare hand.
However, once I told the young man I seen him with my own eyes he said "oh did I do that? " and apologized and dumped the popcorn in the trash where I can see and I followed him to the other side and I watched him re fill the bucket...Again with no gloves!!
The woman standing next to him seem to be of authority because once she looked at him he then decided to admit what he did.
However she did not offer me a refund on the 20$ purchase I just made or on the 26$ tickets I paid for in advance. Nor did she apologize for her Staff's unsanitary handling of customers food!
My son and did not feel comfortable eating the food so he had no snack during the 3 hour movie. I do not plan on returning to this establishment and I would like to discuss reimbursement of the tickets and...
Read moreI hate the standard recliners, I can't find a way to make them not uncomfortable. In the upright position, they feel way too upright. As soon as you try to recline, the foot rest goes all the way up, which is not how a human body bends. It's impossible to do a slight recline without feeling like you're bent in half doing a hamstring stretch. So I have to do a full recline on account of the foot rest, and then I'm left looking at the ceiling. To actually see the screen, from even the second row, I either have to look down my nose or bend my neck to hold my head up - which is tiring to do for 1.5-3 hours. And in the reclined position, the arm rests feel too high, such that resting my elbows on them would cut off the circulation in my arms and cause my hands to go numb. I've tried sitting fully upright and fully reclined, and neither is comfortable. I want to be partially reclined, but the foot rest makes it impossible.
I asked my wife if it was just me, and she said that she couldn't get comfortable either. And it's not just the Marlton AMC, Somerville's basic recliners are just as bad.
The sound quality was good. The picture quality was okay. The screen looked better than the Voorhees AMC, but I've been spoiled by HDR and Dolby Vision at home, so SDR now looks washed out by comparison.
But the recliners are the real issue. They wonder why people aren't going to the movies as much. Maybe because people don't want to pay $15 to be uncomfortable...
