I did not enjoy my experience with Shwartz Jewelry Store. This is my fist negative review, but I felt one worth sharing. I had a soldered platinum ring and band that I absolutely love and wore snug and hard for about 4 years before they became unsoldered.
I saw the reviews for this jeweler and thought this would be a good place to take my ring to get it fixed. I asked for the ring to be resized a half size up and resoldered together. The lady at the front counter was quite rude when answering my questions and did not provide any assurance in how they insure/account for jewelry in their shop, telling me that the barcode slip they gave me would be my claim for any insurance. Additionally, when I got my ring back, there were blemishes all over the resized portion and it was not smooth or buffed where the work was done. When I mentioned that I was not satisfied with the quality of the work, the front counter lady took back the ring and told me she couldn't guarantee a timely fix on a redo. To her fairness, she did say that she wanted me to be satisfied with my ring.
When I got my redone ring back, I wore it for all of about 3 or 4 months and it unsoldered (mind you, the ring was a half size bigger and fit loosely). When I went in to ask them what my options were, the same lady at the front counter told me they don't insure their work past 60 days.
Again, I wore my slightly too tight original ring for 4 years without any issue and after 4 months of work from Swartz Jewlry Store, I am in the same position with an unsoldered ring. I can't say that I will ever go back to this business, nor would I recommend it to anyone due to the lack of respect about the ring I value and poor-quality job on my platinum...
Read moreI have had good business with them till this last incident. I wasn't going to write a bad review but after the millionth time of getting my hair stuck in my ring I'm just done. I asked them if they could Sauder my ring together before my wedding, they obliged. They quoted me $150. I brought my rings in and they fit perfectly a 8 3/4. They asked me if this was the right size I said yes. I got a call a couple days later my ring was done so I went to go get them. Needless to say she had to windex my finger to get it off. It was a size 7. She told me they would do rush to get it resized before my wedding. The woman checked my ring size and told me a 9 was my size when I told her no she said I was wrong. Being a jeweler I just said okay. I got the call back it was ready again. I went up there and low and behold my ring was to large. I was then charged for them having to resize my ring after they didn't size it correctly which my total was $450. Big difference from $150. They then put a metal ring sizer on my ring and it not only gets caught in my hair but my daughter's. Now I have to pay someone else to review my ring again. Would not recommend them unless you want to...
Read moreThis small-town store has most of the perks and none of the drawbacks. The staff was friendly and genuinely sought to help out. I had some stainless silver that required cleaning, which they accomplished while I was looking to purchase something. The store was neatly organized by metals, and I was able to find exactly what I needed. They mentioned if they didn't have something, that they could also order for me. Finally, I had a few items that were in need of repair. The repairs came out great and everything was very affordable for what I was looking for. Thanks again. This is a store to refer...
