Jolly Yolly Kids Indoor Playground — Attraction in Fairfax

Recently relocated to this area and was looking for a spot for my daughter’s birthday party. Found this place online and after reading the good reviews, decided to book this place. Unfortunately, all that hype did not live up to my expectations at all.

First off, I was told a host would take care of the setup and decorations and then the breakdown. Well, that didn’t go well because I never heard from the host prior to the party and was wondering how they would know what to put up and where if they didn’t even consult me first. I was right, because once I entered the party room, the ‘supposed’ host was putting on the plastic table covers when I stated to the front desk that I brought my own. So the host ended up wasting a bunch of my tapes for the colorful table skirt (that I also brought) on the plastic table cover instead of the fabric one I provided. Next, she started putting up the birthday sign the wrong way - and only because she didn’t even ask me (again) how I wanted it. To top it all off, they were already behind setting up the room in the first place because my reservation for the room started at 12:30 and it still looked like they were clearing up the room from the previous party. And there was also a mix-up with the wristband colors for our guests (I had pink while some of our guest had purple) and which room we were in (the front desk said we were in the middle room when we are actually in the window room so not sure how that was miscommunicated between the employees). So all in all, this experience felt unorganized, rushed, and obviously lacked clear communication. And our host, to say the least, lacked initiative. My husband left a tip which I wish I could get back because he didn’t know what had happened until the party was over and the bill was paid (they didn’t lack initiative there - no big surprise there, lol). Hosted a birthday here, all the kids enjoyed themselves, but wow, what an professional and completely inconvenient and ghetto experience for parents.

Firstly, the restroom is 10 meters away in another part of the building from the play area entirely, you would have to put your shoes back on and completely leave the suite to go to the restroom. How this makes sense when you need to supervise your child is a mystery. If parents come solo with a toddler--I can't.

Secondly, I arrive 15 minutes late for my party reservation and the staff informed me *IN FRONT OF MY GUESTS that they needed to clean up in 5 minutes for the next party while we were eating in our private party room.

Finally, 10 minutes after the ending of the party reservation, employees brusquely inform my guests over an intercom and in person directly that everyone who came for our specific party needs to leave. Wow, very ghetto and profit driven business.

I understand that there's probably capacity limitations in the building, but there are specific forms of professional courtesies that were just not there. They could have sent the waivers via email for us to share with guests beforehand instead of offering these bizarre laptops from the 1980's for parents to be wrangling toddlers and filing these out prior to entry.

They could have informed us that the party reservation times are very close together and that guests have a timed entry after the party. Managing expectations helps with young kids, especially toddlers.

I don’t know where to start, so much to say about today ! We had an impromptu birthday due to unexpected changes in initial plans. Just the fact that they could accommodate my last minute Monday booking made my entire day!

This place is a MUST for all your little ones events and well worth the reasonable price!! I had a party of 10 kids and 4 adults (entitled to 10 adults 10 kids) and we all had such a pleasant experience!

Staff was so nice, and took very good care of us!! There was a male and female staff sucks I didn’t get their names, but they were working the evening shift as we were there late evening/early night time. They made sure we were all taken care of. The kids absolutely loved there experience and immediately we noticed how clean, organized and well padded for the safety of the kids. Did I mention how super clean this place is.

They take very good care of the play area and party room was very spacious and well lighted. We came on a day the weather was 96 degrees to 100 but the place was so cool and fresh! They Served awesome yummy fresh pizzas juices and the price of what they sell on sight is very reasonable.

Overall a 5 star place. I’ll be back and already have 2 people who saw my party videos and want to come there too! Thank you guys so much for many my baby’s 4th birthday with his cousins an amazing clean, fun experiences.
