Review regarding Professor Michelle Pratt, Nursing Instructor at Rasmussen in Fargo and Moorhead: First of all, Michelle has been a challenging but fair instructor. She will ask open ended questions and tasks of the students usually as a group, allowing them to come up with their own response to the scenario. She is not one to just hand you the information or alleviate any sort of struggle. She has been a nurse for decades, working in several departments, as a traveling nurse, and as the Charge nurse. I really appreciate her years of experience because she often has HIPAA appropriate stories from her past in bedside nursing to go along with whatever curriculum we are currently going over. The stories REALLY help illustrate a subject and make it stand out in my memory. This is crucial because we cover so much material between tests, subject can begin to blend of get mixed up in the mind. Michille has a ton of compassion in general, illustrated in her stories about patients as well as her treatment of her students. Her lectures and stories have demonstrated how important it is to advocate for our patient concerning pain levels, lab tests, quality of care, and cost consideration for the sake of the patient in their care scenario. She has gone out of her way to advocate for myself and several other students that I’ve witnessed. She genuinely wants to see us succeed, and does kind things like buy candy for us on test days and makes sure we take some sort of goody on our way our the door. She absolutely goes the extra mile. I have had Michelle as a professor for multiple classes, including the dreaded Pharmacology. I did not pass the class the first time around. On the second attempt, I did not achieve an A but did pass the class and felt knowledgeable and competent on the material. Michells is not an easy professor, yet still one that I appreciate and respect above all the others as an educator and a...
Read moreI started Rasmussen College July 2017. I graduated from Rasmussen College March 2019 with Human Resource Management and Organizational Leadership Bachelor’s degree Summa Cum Laude. I am also a graduate of the Rasmussen Leadership Academy May 2019. I started my Master’s in HR Management and will be pursuing a Doctoral degree in Organizational Leadership. I have been a CRLA Peer Tutor for the School of business since December 2017.
I did not want to just graduate with dual degree, I wanted to learn and be able to apply it to everyday life. I am a better parent, friend, and boss because I understand my degree from all aspects and everything that went into it.
My degree from Rasmussen has bettered my life each and every day and I would have none of that if I would have stayed where I was. The best decision I ever made was coming to Rasmussen University. The professors are so genuine, motivating, and transparent.
I’m now 7 weeks away from graduating with my masters degree, also from Rasmussen University. One of My daughter AsLyn also graduates with me in 7 weeks with her associates degree. She’s also a peer mentor/ educator. Next semester her boyfriend will start his journey at Rasmussen as well. It’s a legacy I’m immensely proud of. All thanks to Walter Rasmussen who founded the college, now University.
I’m hoping they will start the doctorates in Human Resource Management soon. My daughter is also going for her doctorates as well. We both hope to teach at...
Read moreI’m currently studying at Rasmussen University Fargo-Moorhead, and I’ve had an amazing experience so far thanks to our professors and Dean.
Dean Mark is an excellent leader and an outstanding educator. He demonstrates intelligence, professionalism, and genuine concern for student success. He is approachable and always willing to provide guidance, offering practical advice and thoughtful suggestions when students face academic challenges. There was a time when he visited our Pathophysiology class and explained a difficult topic so clearly that everyone was inspired. We honestly wish he could do more teaching because he’s that good! We’re very fortunate to have him as our dean.
