We were put on the 5th floor even though 1 elevator was completely broken, and the other one worked intermittently. There was an incredible amount of dust on the bathroom vent, And housekeeping never dusted around the TV as there is a large build up there as well, & gummy candy on the floor. There were 4 of us registered in the room, we had two face cloths, one hand towel, and two bath towels. When I approached housekeeping, they told me they were no more face cloths. When we went to lock up our passports when we went for dinner, we found the safe was still locked from the previous guest so again another phone call had to be made to the front desk for assistance. At 2 PM I had called down and requested bedding for the pull out couch as there was none in the room. When we returned at 7 PM, none of our cards worked in the room so again I had to go down and get all 4 cards reprogrammed. When we finally got in the room, the bedding still wasn’t there. I gave up calling the front desk so I ended up going down there and requesting bedding so we can make the pull out sofa for my kids to sleep. My son had to go down the stairs from the fifth floor, down to the main floor to get the elevator to bring it back up to the fifth floor because when you requested it on the fifth floor, The light for the elevator would not stay on, and even if you held it, the elevator would not stop. My mother is a senior who cannot be doing the stairs so this was incredibly inconvenient. Upon check out when Levi asked how our stay was and I listed some of these items, he offered me 1 free breakfast to compensate. I stated that there were four of us in the room, we’re all inconvenienced, and he came back and offered 4 breakfasts. We also had to phone down to the front desk because both of the TVs would not show any programming. It would show the guide and you could choose the show, but when you clicked on it, the screen was just black. Swimming pool area used to open at 7 AM, now it opens at 9 AM. When we went down at 9 AM for a last swim before departing, the waterslide would not turn on. I went to the front desk and found someone and let them know that waterslide wasn’t working, sadly no one knew how to turn it on. A fellow came in and got on the phone and was speaking to someone who explained how to work it. That took half an hour, with checkout being 11, the kids missing out on a half hour of swimming was a big deal to them as that was one of the main reasons we stay...

Our stay for the most part was okay. The check in and out people were very friendly. The room was nice and clean but the beds were very small. The pool was nice and fairly clean but I do agree with other reviews that the pool floor was very slippery. I watched a little baby slip and fall nearly hitting his head. The worst part and the reason for the one star review though was because of the breakfast. We were under the impression that they had free continental breakfast. We were having a hard time finding it, so my mom asked someone at the restaurant area where the free continental breakfast was. We were shown an area and told it was buffet style and we could sit anywhere. First impressions of the food wasn’t great. The eggs were soggy and cold, and by far it was one of the worst selections of food I have experienced at a hotel. There was no butter for the waffles out, so we asked for some and we were brought frozen butter. Then a few minutes later were brought a bill. The buffet breakfast was $15 a person! We were very shocked, and a little upset. We experienced other people being shocked at the price as well. When we went to pay for it, we did explain to the person ringing us up that the price was very shocking. We suggested that they should make the price a little better known for the buffet. A little sign by it that said buffet $15 would have been very helpful and would have helped us avoid this confusion. Then another lady walked up to us claiming to be some kind of manager. (Mind you she is in leggings and a sweatshirt). She acted like it was such common knowledge like we should have known the price. This was our first (and last) time we will stay in this hotel all due to her. We weren’t even that upset about the surprising price of the buffet but were just making suggestions to help avoid that in the future. After her very unprofessionally calling us out because of our dissatisfaction about this experience. She eventually went and sat back down. Then we started talking to another guest about it and the lady came back to confront us about talking to them.. at this point it was starting to turn into harassment. This also guaranteed that we will never come back. She was by far the most unprofessional person I have ever...

We stayed 3 nights from Wed - Sat over Thanksgiving. The review we are giving are things we experienced over the entire stay.

Pros: Rooms are ok. We got a 2 room suite that allowed us to sit in the living room area and close the door to the bedroom.

Cons: If you have a suite with a connecting door and have a loud neighbor you will hear EVERYTHING! The restaurant was understaffed so it took quite awhile to get drinks and food. The housekeeping disappeared on the second day. We had requested extra towels to be brought up via the Marriott app AND a phone call directly to housekeeping. The housekeeping extension - no one answered so we left a voicemail. No towels ever came and our room we not serviced. Pool area - Over the 3 days we went to the pool every day. The first day - things seemed ok. We saw staff come in for towel change out. Second day - we got there and the towel drop off area was massively overflowing. The third day, the towels seemed to be taken care of a little bit better, but still were a lot of dirty towels. Staff didn't seem to come in very often to check. Pool Bar - DOESN'T EXIST. There is an actual bar and built to have a bartender but there were no bar setups. Wondering if it's ever been used, even though there is advertisement on their website of there being a pool bar. There wasn't a bartender any of the days we were there and it seemed pretty deserted for quite some time. If people did order food, it was at the restaurant bar and they brought it in. There are signs everywhere no outside food or beverage, so if that's the case then the bar needs to be staffed!

Overall - the stay was OK. But, next time in Fargo, we will be checking out another property. This place does not live up to the Marriott standards even though it was a little more expensive than other Marriott locations in the same area. Wished we had a better stay especially since it was over the...

We have stayed at this hotel on previous trips and it’s AIWAYS outstanding … this trip not so much! When we arrived at 6pm we had already done a few hours of shopping. I checked in and was assigned ROOM 242! I grabbed the luggage trolley and met my husband at side door. We went up to the room which was literally the furthest room from elevator. My husband has severe Rheumatoid Arthritis so walking can be challenging. Upon entering I unloaded all the things quickly so I could get the trolley back downstairs for others. As I was leaving the room my husband called me back in from down the hall. He opened the curtains and our view was the roof with all the maintenance equipment. Very disappointed I returned trolley and went back to desk. I asked if the hotel was overly busy. She said, no not at all. It’s Monday! I asked why then did she assign us to the absolute worst room in the hotel with so many other options? She said she just picked one. I’m going to assume because it was a Priceline booking she decided I deserved a less than stellar room cause I didn’t pay full price. She then asked what was wrong with it. I told her what was wrong. After a bit of back and forth she said if we really wanted she could move us. I JUST unloaded a trolley full of shopping and luggage. You really think I want to haul the trolley back up, reload cart, move, unload cart, return trolley. And my husband have to walk even more? We had to keep the curtains closed the entire time to avoid the eyesore!!! Room 242 should be used as an absolute LAST option and ONLY if the hotel is completely booked. This is the ONLY room in the entire hotel with this AWFUL view!! So disappointed!!! Be sure if you’re staying here you specifically state not staying in that room! Going back in a few weeks and wondering if I should look elsewhere 😔
