I checked on on December 26 2018 into the Fargo South, North Dakota location my intentions were to stay thru the 29th of December. The GSR working informed me that there was a wrestling tournament in town and that the latest i could check out would be the 28th of December as they were sold out that Friday night. I decided to check in for one night the 26-27 i paid $83 for that night on my debit card. The GSR told me that because of the expected blizzard to check back as people may cancel their reservations. Later that evening I spoke to April and explained the situation and she said she would see what she could do to help me avoid having to checkout and switch hotels. She said that she could give me a discounted rate of $65 for both the 27th of December and the 28th of December making my departure date the 29th. As i was 10 hours from home and with the snow coming i was extremely grateful. I have her $145.00 in cash and told her to keep the change, she gave me my receipt and i went about my business. December 29th i went to check out and was informed i had a balance. Not understanding how this happened i demanded and explanation. Jamie the manager on duty said that my payment of $130.00 was never posted to my account i showed her the receipt and she had NO explanation. She got very aggressive and rude when i questioned her and the hotels policy. I am currently a student studying Hospitality Management and wouldn't listen or explain to me what happened to my money. I asked to speak to the hotels GM and she informed me that he was on vacation and that if i wanted to speak to him i would have to come back when he got off of vacation. Seeing that i wasn't going anywhere i left VERY upset. Later that day i called my bank and to my surprise JAMIE charged my account $213 not ONCE but TWICE after i checked out. Which now caused my account to go negative and now i am left to deal with the overdraft charges. Thus far i have paid $213.94 three times for a stay that was only suppose to...
Read moreWe needed a place to stop at on our long trip home. I saw this place browsing through many different hotels and their reviews. first, I got a 10% discount for a first time stay, which I was very happy about! Second, I got a better rate by calling and asking questions rather than booking online. We went ahead and upgraded to the king suite. I'd say it was very worth it! ! For $25 more we got a king bed, a large shower and room and an adjacent room with a jacuzzi whirl tub, two sitting arm chairs and a heater fireplace. Very comfy! !!! They had sprout channel which for those with little ones is a great asset from time to time. The free breakfast was good. Not the best, not the worst. They had little pre made cheese omlettes, bacon, homemade bread which was really good, yogurts, coffee and juices, milk, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, and one Belgium waffle maker. They had a few other things, but personally I would've liked some healthier options like more fresh fruit or granola or something. Not a deal breaker though. The woman who checked us in was super nice and friendly and very helpful. The few down sides: Our bed was a little old :there was that dip in the middle so we kind of feel into each other. The other thing was the restaurant we ordered from. I most definitely wouldn't recommend the green mill. .. other than they is totally recommend this place!! Will stay...
Read moreWe made reservations on Travelocity and upon arrival we were told the room wasn’t available so they kindly offered us a very much more expensive room. When we went up to the room it wasn’t cleaned at all! Beds weren’t even made. The second room they offered us while “clean” smelled like a 1980’s bar someone had definitively been smoking. Guess third times the charm? If by charm you mean still pretty dirty example pics I added. Blood on comforter. Some earwax looking residue around the charging station. Breakfast the next morning. Milk in the refrigerator was warm and chunky which surprisingly was the same consistency and temp of the scrambled eggs which I also found a hair in. Coffee was actually very good. Which helped with the headache of the house keeping staff pounding on my door at exactly 10:58 demanding we leave because it’s check out time and then standing and waiting while we left like petulant children late for school. I will say the front desk lady and kitchen lady did try and rectify most complaints but the milk that replaced the non expired warm chunky milk didn’t even have an outdate. Which she seemed genuinely perplexed by. All in all. I’ve stayed in better biker motels and will never consider this hotel again. Hopefully management can take more pride in their business than currently is...
