I debated whether to post this but I think other clients should be warned to proceed with caution. Let me start off by saying I am not a client that needs pampering. However, when I had my last appointment I received a call asking me to come in early because “Alba had something to do “, even though my appointment had been scheduled for months. I agreed because I know things come up and I have kids, etc. Keep in mind, I had to take off work for this appointment and drive over an hour to get there so when I arrive I am not met with a thank you or any customer service measures for being flexible and instead am met with Alba in a bad mood. Honestly, you could tell she did not want to be doing my microblading. Even though I felt uncomfortable this visit, it would have not been enough to prevent me from returning because prior visits had been great, but how the visit ended changed that. Before arriving I had been on the phone with a friend going through a rough time. She wanted to me to come over but because of the appointment I could not. So we compromised by staying on the phone with each other and I threw in my AirPod before the visit. When my visit was over and it was time to pay the nice lady at the counter asked Alba if she was still charging me 270. Alba became immediately upset and started yelling at her in Spanish. Which I didn’t understand what was being said because I don’t speak Spanish. However, my friend does. So I paid my bill and left. After I get into my car my friend informs me of what was said and how Alba knowingly charged me for microblading AND MICROSHADING even though I did not receive microshading because “I would pay it”. At my previous appointments I suspected that I was being overcharged. I thought maybe she was performing both services and I just didn’t realize because my eyes were closed. I didn’t want to believe I was being intentionally overcharged because the ladies were so nice at each visit but after my friend heard this conversation I KNOW my gut feeling was right. I only received microshading my initial visit. I checked my receipts from every follow up appointment after that and was charged for BOTH. I remember being initially quoted $175 for the follow up microblading appointments yet that was not what I was charged. Even though my friend heard it directly from her mouth, I still did not want to believe it so I asked my daughter to text the number and ask for pricing for microblading for the initial appointment and follow up visits because who knows, maybe the prices went up. But no. She was quoted $200 for follow up microblading appointments, which was a little higher than I was quoted but still significantly less than I was charged. At the end of the day, it’s bad business to intentionally overcharge a client because you think you can. It’s bad business to intentionally charge someone for a service they did not receive because you think they’ll pay. While I love the service she provided, the trust is broken and I’m sorely disappointed in the handling I received. I did send this message directly to Alba and she did respond with an email and phone message request to repay the amount and settle the account. I declined because it was not the monetary amount and more of the principle. I would have gladly accepted and been fine with returning if I thought the overcharge was an error. However, when you take advantage of someone and intentionally overcharge them, that’s a completely different story and you giving my money back doesn’t correct it...
Read moreThe small Lasor tattoo removal done on my finger was only charged $50 with no numbing and partially touched on the sides. Yes, stung like crazy! Lol
As for the microbladed eyebrows, beware of the HIGH prices. Many other marketed brow professionals are running specials way less than $750-850!!!
Even with a $200 special off, it's still overpriced. They fail to tell you there's an additional cost & deposit required for a touch-up for $380 or more depending if you wait longer to return. $100 non-refundable deposit they charged in total at time of payout, walking out the door.
They won't even let you choose for you to make the choice if the 1st service is all you want/need. Nor will they refund the decision to cancel a future 7 wk appointment. I mean, the work wasn't fully completed on 1 eyebrow.
I was told DURING the session it would be ANOTHER $100 simply to shade in the end tip of my brows cause I have no hair? For every little thing was additional and kept adding on.
I mean, I did both services without ANY numbing because that's an additional $30 - you would think with $550 or $750 all that is included? Smh
Then, to even receive your home care kit, which is cleaning wipes 2 Q-tips and a small packet of anointment, you are asked to write a positive google review.
Again, they should provide that automatically with the services PAID for. I can simply purchase a permanent makeup microblading machine on Amazon and complete myself for that amount, and conduct my own touch-ups at home.
I just simply wanted my refund for the future appointment I felt compelled to book as I can't afford any additional services I was already NOT aware of before walking out that place. I will not be forced to commit to any future services if I wasn't fully satisfied.
Hopefully, they will refund, or I will have to dispute through my bank. Receiving texts from the other front desk girl there isn't professional either.
Demanding the opposite from the customer, I felt robbed. $735 total
They also fail to mention there's a 5% fee to simply use your credit card versus Zelle? Like all that needs to be CLEAR when asked not say well you have to come in for consultation FIRST.
People don't have time and gas to travel to be hooked in and felt forced to paying...
This was my very first experience getting anything done in my life; not worth the dollars spent.
Next time, I will search other affordable services with no hidden fees or entrapments.
And read what you sign! They use that against you, too.. I didn't see their website until today for the first time. I only went off...
Read moreI’ve been going to Alba Ella’s Beauty Studio for some time now, and I can confidently say the service is always top-tier. Alba is incredibly professional, skilled, and attentive. She creates a calm and welcoming atmosphere that makes every visit a treat. Her work is consistently flawless, and I always leave feeling refreshed and taken care of.
I was actually in the studio on the day that recent negative review was posted about and I feel it’s important to share what I personally witnessed. What happened that day was not like how it was portrayed. I saw firsthand how Alba remained calm and professional, even when the client in question had a sudden and dramatically shifted her attitude mid-appointment. Her reaction was shocking, and it left everyone in the studio confused and uncomfortable. It was completely out of the blue and very unfair to Alba, who handled the situation with grace.
Let me be clear—Alba is a consummate professional, and her reputation speaks for itself. Don’t let one misleading review overshadow the truth. I’ll continue to trust her with all my beauty needs, and I wholeheartedly recommend her studio to anyone looking for expert care and a...
