When We first came here, our experience was terrible. The store had advertísed to order directly online, not through delivery apps. So We ordered through their website. An hour later, came by for our $80.00 order, which wasn’t even being prepared. (Took days to get an answer from the number on the site requesting a refund, which We did receive eventually). It was about 5 p.m., dinner timeish. We felt it was in incredibly poor taste that the owner was out doing an interview at the entrance of the building, with the wait area full of folks waiting on orders. A business owner should have the common sense to schedule anything like that around the hours of their business, especially since they do open later in the afternoon. Folks were inconvenienced, He had customers in there that had been waiting hours for their food, but standing outside without a care in the world taking care of His 2 seconds of fame. We finally came back months later out of curiosity to try the food so I’m updating My 1 Star to 2 Stars. The food is ok, nothing out of the ordinary. That’s the last time I listen to anything Keith Lee reviews.

Zero chance I would ever know this place even existed without the help of a certain Tiktoker. It’s located inside what’s known as a ghost kitchen. It’s a food court but you never see the employees. There’s no seating area either. Everything is done electronically through app or website. When you go to pick up, you scan the literal email and it tells you the status. When it’s ready someone (maybe even a robot) puts it inside a labeled locker on the wall. And the cubby door opens up. It’s all very high tech and efficient. First time there I was very confused but now that I see how the operation is set up, it’ll be easy. So about the food itself, it was worth all the hype. My favorite was the tikka taco. The one gripe I have is that it took longer than 30 mins than the estimated time. Thats quite a bit of time to be off by—so it was a lot of waiting around.

Update: I got a refund, and will look forward to trying again when I have at least 70 minutes to plan getting takeout. I was very excited to finally try this place out. When I went on the app to order, it said to expect 35 to 40 minutes for it to be ready. It then took SEVENTEEN minutes to even confirm my order, at which point they said it would be a 45 minute wait. I called the phone number multiple times to try and cancel the order because I didn’t have that long to wait, and no human ever answered or got back to me. Based on when I got a text that my food was ready, the total amount of time was 71 minutes. It might be good, I wasn’t able to stick around to find out, but there are very few meals I will wait 71 minutes for, and I doubt this would have been one of them.

FOOD INSTAGRAM: @northtx.gemz •••• 🍒 WHAT THEY’RE KNOWN FOR: @keith_lee125 was here but it’s actually a local favorite too! They are known for their Mexican-Pakistani fusion food! 🍒 THE VIBE: in a to-go kitchen concept where you order your food online or at a kiosk and pick it up in their cubbies! 🍒 PRICE: gifted 🤍 🍒 WOULD I COME BACK? Yes! •••• Overall Rating: 9.5/10 I’m really loving all of these fusion places if you couldn’t tell and @halalfusionz definitely offers that Pakistani x Tex Mex fusion we’ve been missing! They also gave me their 3 sauces: mint verde sauce, tandoori ranch sauce, and cucumber cool down sauce which definitely elevated the tacos. I can’t really pick a favorite with the tacos because I genuinely loved them all. The chicken was a bit dry but paired with the sauces- it came out PERFECT. The birria taco was out of this world! It isn’t your typical birria consume and it’s a thicker sauce to dip in but it is so mouthwatering. The paneer taco is a classic. The tortilla is actually not a tortilla and is naan which is a traditional bread in Desi dishes. It made each bite soft and decadent. The paneer Elote was so good! My bf usually doesn’t like Elote but he was a huge fan of this. The rice was filled with so much flavor I wasn’t sure if it was Spanish rice or biriyani? Only thing I wasn’t a fan of was their drinks! I do have a record of not liking sweet drinks but it is a sweet drink if you are interested. They’ve extended their hours until midnight for my besties who are celebrating Ramadan, this is the perfect place to grab a bite! Overall, this place isn’t overhyped, it’s actually really good and...

When I stumbled upon this place, I couldn't wait to dive into its intriguing fusion of Pakistani and Tex-Mex preparation techniques. The excitement led me to Uber Eats to sample the menu. While it's not a fusion of flavors, the concept of Pakistani-inspired dishes prepared in Tex-Mex style was mouthwatering, but the experience was a mixed bag.

First, let's talk about the flavors. The meat was tender and flavorful, a true delight. However, I asked for extra meat on my two tacos, but it didn't seem like I got any. The spice level, which I specifically requested to be "Pakistani spicy spicy," fell flat, barely registering on the heat scale. The small cups of sauces provided didn't do much to elevate the dish either.

Then came the real shocker: the price. For two tacos with that so-called extra meat and a small serving of corn, the bill came to $40 on Uber Eats. After adding the tip, my total was a whopping $48. To make matters worse, the bread arrived soggy, further dampening my dining experience.

I can't help but wonder if the in-store experience would be better. Maybe the ambiance and fresh-off-the-grill dishes would make a difference. The concept has potential, and the meat was genuinely good. However, the lack of spice, the underwhelming sauces, and the steep price tag on Uber Eats left me disappointed. If you're curious, it might be worth a visit in person, but I wouldn't recommend ordering...
