I travel a lot and one of the things I love to do is travel to different escape rooms. I saw this establishment had a serial killer room and was intrigued because I found out that I really enjoy the creepy ones. Well when I first got there it seems that the guy behind the desk was more concerned about talking to his friend rather than welcoming us. Finally we were brought into the room. Within the first 10 minutes of the room I had noticed a lock box over by the door and went to see what type of lock it was, it was a combo lock that was already opened. I opened up the box and there was a key. I went and tried the key on a couple of other locks in the room and it didn't open anything. Well about another 10-15 minutes into the room The Room Master called over the speaker and asked how we got the key out of the box we told him that the lock on the box was left opened. At that point he told us that they had to shut down the game because the key that we got was the actual key to escape the room with and we never should have had it and they accidentally did not set up the room correctly. So disappointingly we went back into the lobby and was told that because we had already seen the room that they would prefer that we did another room, the bank heist. We discussed it amongst us and asked because of the mistake and because we had already wasted a half an hour of our time if we could receive a discount or partial refund? We were told that he did not have the authority, so I nicely asked him to please call someone who did have the authority and find out. We were then led to the other room to try the bank heist since we all agreed we wanted to do something rather than just leave after half an hour of wasted time. Well 5 minutes into that room we found a briefcase with another lock unlocked already. We held the briefcase and lock up to the camera. Sure enough they did not set this room correctly either and we had to wait to have it fixed. 10 minutes after that we were working on a puzzle that involved weighing bags that had been filled with rice. We were then told over the speaker that the bags had lost rice for a while now and they were incorrect, and here is the solution. Why not FIX them??!! Then the barrage of questions from the game master started about if we wanted to use hints. 5 times in a row within 10 minutes we were asked if we wanted to use a hint and we kept on telling them no. Since it was the last room of the night we started to question if they just wanted to give us hints so we would escape faster so they could go home earlier. We actually did escape from the room with about 12 minutes left and we didn't use any hints. When we left the room I asked the game master again about getting a partial refund or discount I was told that the manager said no because we ended up getting to do a room anyway. I said yes, I understand that, but it is not the room that we wanted to do and there was a mess up in this room as well and we ended up having to spend an extra half an hour here. I was told frankly again that he could not offer a discount or refund but if I wanted to talk call and talk to the owner about my situation. I find this whole night very disappointing considering it was an hour and a half drive to get there and then a two and a half hour drive home and the way we were treated and rushed and the whole situation was quickly put off by saying it was a person in training and that after this they don't think that they would be there much longer. My thought was if the person in training messed up on a room why wouldn't someone go in there and make sure that they didn't mess up the second room as well? The serial killer room looked fun but the bank heist room wasn't all that good. Unfortunately coupled with all of the issues and the rude customer service we received I am only going to give this one star and will not return. I also find it a little upsetting that the gentleman knew how upset we were and a manager or owner never even reached out to us to apologize for...
Read moreI tried this with my son and I must say, I did not like it at all. We did the zombie room. The clues and experience was horrible. After being in the room for about 5-8 minutes, I had already felt my disdain towards the room, mainly the clues. We were find certain things quickly but putting it together was confusing. I had very high expectations and it was terrible. We were in a room that was about 15×15 or smaller. The items in the room were worn and overused. Some of the clues we found we had no idea how are where to use them. The decor of the room was minimal and not impressive at all. It was not a good experience at all. Not sure how they have a 4.8 rating. Maybe friends and family are happy to be with their loved ones and rated based on that. But for an escape room, I would give it a 0 if I could. Totally not impressed. While in the room, I was processing, this is what I paid for. I could have set this up in my house. Will not recommend and will not return for any of the other rooms. There are other escape room locations in my area, will try another one and I will be able to compare the two...
Read moreHad a great time this weekend and Elan did a great job as the clue master! The first time I came here (a little over a year ago) my wife and I enjoyed Inheritance so much (although didnt complete it) we graduated to the Zombie room (and also did not complete it). This time around my family tried to Save Christmas and were only 1 clue away from escape! Once again, had such a great time that my daughter and I stayed to attempt the Zombie room and actually escaped with 5 minutes to spare! I wouldn't suggest bringing young kids mainly because they would be bored and hinder the adults' ability to solve puzzles, although my youngster was a great help at Saving Christmas (the Zombie room may be too scary for them though). Inheritance, Saving Christmas and Zombie Escape have all been fun. The cluemasters dont give anything away but will steer you in the right direction if they see you struggling or if you haven't used your freebies yet. Overall a great experience. Definitely plan on going again! Maybe I'll be able to...
