This place does not even deserve a quarter of a star and that’s taken it lightly!!!
What this BUFFET restaurant once was is no longer evidently. I strongly recommend against wasting any money here; you are getting bottom of the barrel food ( chinese if and only of if you want to call it that) and it will likely result in dissatisfaction and disappointment and most likely stomach ache 🤒
Starting from the outside, the restaurant's entrance was an eyesore—littered with trash ☹️. Upon entering, we were greeted by staff members who seemed completely disinterested in serving customers. The place was packed but still not enough sitting areas; people were sitting at the fish area 😕
The individuals at the register were wearing ear pods, creating a barrier between them and the guests. The counter area was cluttered with papers, sticky notes, and general disarray, giving off an unprofessional and unkempt vibe.
The host, who appeared as though he had just come from the gym, was similarly disinterested. His casual attire and ear pods suggested that he had no intention of listening to or engaging with customers.
The dining experience was equally problematic and the lack of standards hits you in the face.
The use of a plastic utensil ( sorry plastic fork only) and to-go foam cups instead of proper silverware and glassware is unacceptable for any restaurant setting. It raises serious concerns about the standards and hygiene in the kitchen. The dining areas were barren. If you want salt, pepper, soy sauce or hot sauce, you are on your own. You are inside red lucky to be getting one napkin to clean up just in case 🤪
The sushi bar was particularly concerning, as there was food scattered all over the place, further emphasizing the lack of cleanliness and organization.
When it came time to settle the bill, the staff didn't even bother to ask how our meal was. This indifference to customer feedback and satisfaction speaks volumes about their current state but be warned…. Gratuity is always expected and is automatic for parties of...
Read moreWe visited the hibachi grill, on a Saturday, at dinner time, with our three yr old twins and 1yr old baby. That's generally a volatile combination for a restaurant. This place was perfect for us, though. The dining area(s) is huge. Lots of big tables. Easy to put people with kids way back in a corner! 😊 It wasn't full, although it was a Saturday.
The food variety was really great - there was something for everyone - even the most picky eaters amongst us and everything was really, surprisingly delicious. I've rarely been to a buffet with so much variety, where the food also tasted great! My favorite dish was a cajun sea food dish, full of clams, mussels, and shrimp, with so much flavor - I loved it.
Of course, a couple of dishes weren't so hot. The deep fried crab, with almost no meat, and way over cooked, for example. But the vast majority of the food was really great, really plentiful and even hot.
The service was almost perfect, too. Our waitress was all smiles and kept those used plates cleared; she was awesome! However, the host who seated us, forgot to bring us a baby seat (after asking if we needed one,) and ran off leaving us standing there wondering if he was coming back or not (he wasn't) and he also forgot to give us the customary napkins that all of the customers get from the front.
Yet another restaurant using useless polyurethane gloves, full of microscopic holes. I got my food, went back to my table, kept them on, whipped my kids faces, went back for more food... Just kidding. But seriously... The gloves are silly.
I'm knocking two whole stars off of the otherwise great dining experience, because the bathrooms were so so disgusting that I don't even have words.... I'm not sure if I'll go back or not, because of those bathrooms. Such a pity, because it was a really great restaurant otherwise. With any luck the management will see this review and get on top of...
Read moreIt has been a long time since I've been here. So today I went with two of my friends for our monthly lunch date. I heard it has new management, but the place needs some updating badly. Huge menu item in their buffet, but it seems the same as it was from when it started. I started off with their sushi bar...variety was okay. My only complaint...they needed to clean the serving thongs...and after going around to the other food stations, management need to pay attention and check after his staff to make sure each station is cleaned up. We were seated at a booth, D3, that was written in a sticky note on the wall of our booth. Furniture needs to be upgraded. We noticed that all the utensils are disposable plastic ware, you know the ones you use when you have a picnic or company party. The lights were dimmed...and somehow there was an odor that kept lingering around the restaurant and it wasn't the food. Management needs to walk around...because the bathroom smelled horribly and it was just dirty. The Ladies Restroom had these two young teenagers hanging around with their cell phones listening to music and texting someone and of course the toilets were not cleaned, toilet paper were filled in the trashcan, water all over the sink. And the smell...😷 On our way out, I went to talk to the Manager and told him that he needs to fix get a plumber to fix the sewer drainage in their bathroom and it's reaking that smell out to the dining hall. He spoke fluent English and replied as if he didn't care. I looked around to see their Health grade...it was a 94. Guess the Health Inspector didn't smell what we did that was reaking into the dining area from the bathroom. It's a shame...this place used to be very nice. Guess it's the last of the few buffets in Fayetteville. For $13-$15 per person...they can...
