We have gone here for years and for a normal outing we love going here but for a birthday party we never will again and will just use main event because it is by far a better experience than Omni was.
2 weeks before my sons birthday we booked the larger party room. The day of his party we get there and not only did they switch the party room on us to the smaller room that was incredibly hot and too small to fit everyone but we had to wait 30 minutes for them to set things up and to get the pizza etc. they knew that room was crazy hot because when setting up the put a blower fan on the table which didn’t do much. The room was cramped and unbearable. We rushed through the eating and left within 30 minutes. We ended up watching a movie and making it a movie party.
If your looking to have an arcade birthday where you actually get taken care of and where the kids get enough credits to actually play for longer than 10 minutes than main event in town is the better place to go. The 25 credits were nothing when most games cost 4 credits. The party room was awful and we had to ask to even receive our drinks and food.
For my other sons birthday we used main event and it was 380 after tax but you got a clean and enjoyable room that was ready on time, a designated party host that took care of everything, laser tag, and 3 hours of UNLIMITED gaming.
I spent 225 on the party room and pizza at Omni but in order to make it enjoyable we used the kids movie passes and took everyone to the movie and spent 51 on adult tickets then for the kids only we got them the kids popcorn and drink so that was another 60. When we went to do the arcade after, the credits lasted maybe 5-8 minutes so you will definitely need to reload all the cards if you are using this as an arcade birthday. So however many cards X atleast 10-15 extra bucks.
Even if you choose the put put over a movie to save money you would still need to add more funds to all the cards to make it a good experience. So 225 plus at least 10 bucks for 10 kids your looking at 325 and for me that main event price of 380 after tax for the unlimited gaming (which is the most expensive option they have cheaper options for credits like Omni) is well worth it when you consider the better party room, a party person assigned to only you, the better accommodations and not have to have a fan blowing on your kids to try to keep them cool enough to eat the pizza but unfortunately have the cake melt in the 30 minutes it takes these people to set up the tiny room that you didn’t want in the first place when you chose the...
Read moreI came in for the first time with my kids and was initially enjoying myself like I was a big kid. I had my toddler with me as the older kids ventured out on their own. I misplaced my phone after being there a short while so I retraced my steps before I bothered staff . The local police came in at the time, that didn’t faze me so I continued to search, I even had my oldest do the Find My Phone alert, nothing. So I finally asked a staff member if they could direct me to someone that could possibly help me. She did say at the moment the owner was busy dealing with the police. I understood but I still had to find my phone before it was gone, possibly off the premises. I was told that the man wearing all white was the owner, I stopped to talked to him. Yes I knew he was busy but I just wanted to voice my issue and hopefully if not him he would direct me to someone who could help me. This man was completely rude stating that they were not going to have anyone look at any cameras, per my request, because they’re dealing with vandalism. I said okay so is my concern as a customer not important. He looked at me with such disgust and walked away. Luckily there was a young lady that stated she would help me because there was a phone in the back. I described it and luckily she had it. Point here is there is always going to be multiple issues going on at once. The owner needs to check his attitude/temper and also needs to learn how to delegate his authority. Three policemen came in to talk to a family with small kids and the young mom was pregnant for the vandalism, I’m sure the kids meant no harm. Again, the owner needs to take a look into conflict management. All other staff were great but not the man wearing all white. I will never bring my family...
Read moreVery affordable and a great place for all your entertainment needs! I have been going here for years and have 40K plus tickets between me and my kids. If that doesn't prove how much we love it I'm not sure what will. $20 at the arcade can keep you busy for over an hour you can watch a movie for under $10. You can get food and drink for the movie for an additional $5-$9 total for both food and drink. The chairs are nice with heating and recliner. The put put is some of the best including Raleigh and Wilmington courses. There is indoor and outdoor just in case it's raining. I have a family of 5 and spend $50-$100 every trip. Chuck e cheese is $100+, Defy is $120+, AMC theater is $150+, and going out of town can be time consuming. There are tons of games and the place is kept pretty clean and the prices haven't barely changed in the 4+ years I have been going. The parties are around $200 and come with plates, cake, pizza, a room, goody bags, arcade tokens, free movie tickets for 10+, and decorated rooms with table cloths and plates. I have never seen a fight or altercation here. This place is a 10 out of 10...
