My immediate impression was that this place is all wrong, and whoever that lady is, she sure doesn’t want to be here. In a few minutes, out walks someone who looks quite unattractive – I mean, kind of sloppy, unkempt. I thought this can’t be the person I’m entrusting myself to but went ahead and followed her to the chair. I said a friend had recommended her and asked to verify her name (because I was thinking “this can’t be the girl”), and it turned out I’d been given the wrong person. The one I’d booked for on the app was the manager, and when I said her name, my lady says, “that’s her,” and points to the lady that had been so rude earlier. The two of them talked, and I could see that the manager was very annoyed with the idea of having to stop counting the money and cut my hair, so I told my assigned person “never mind, you go ahead.” Long story short, the lady who cut my hair did an OK job – nothing impressive – but the whole experience made it clear that I will never visit here again. There’s no warmth, no friendliness, and the workers are obviously miserable. The cuts are unspectacular, and even in a pinch I don’t think I’d ever return.    Read moreI have been using Floyd’s exclusively for a couple of years now. I think the app shows me at 26 bookings. I had an appointment today. As I leave my house I see my neighbor trying to get out of her ice covered driveway. We have had icy roads the last 4 days. I decided to help her real quick. This made me 9 minutes late for my appointment. The desk tells me they won’t honor my appointment because I was more than 7 minutes late. I was indeed 9 minutes late. My appointment was for a “Floyd’s Cut”. I get a #4 on the sides, leave it longer on top, and try to blend the sides as much as you can. This is an 18 minute haircut. Why couldn’t Floyd’s make accommodations and honor my appointment? I would have all been done within the 30 minute appointment window I had reserved. All that did was cost the stylist her $15 tip. Well, I’m tired of being. 50% tipper for 26 bookings and not receiving just a little bit of extended courtesy in return.
