Let me first by saying, WOW. I had such a wonderful experience with Ken and his staff. They made me feel so relaxed and comfortable during my overwhelming and stressful wedding planning. Let me say that I was living in florida and planning a wedding there to soon find out my fiance and I just got stationed in Maryland. We had to move in the next few months. I was looking for a florist online and at the time we were still living in Jacksonville but getting married in amelia island. I found dottie B floral and then scheduled a consultation. I met Ken and he was so absolutely incredible! I told Ken what I liked and wanted and BAM he immediately ran into the back and put something together and I fell in love. He is so good with colors and florals. I was very impressed and suddenly i felt a bit relaxed. I felt so very comfortable with this company. It doesn't just end there. 5 months later when the wedding time came of course dottie b called me and went over details, payments etc. I was having all my table arrangements in personalized mason jars. I was flying down from Maryland but i had family that was driving so I had them driving the mason jars down for damage purposes. Ken asked if I could bring the jars by Thursday for our Saturday wedding which as completely reasonable. unfortunately the family i had driving down the mason jars wouldn't be there until Friday evening. Ken went out of his way and told me not to worry and it would be fine. Gave me his person number and said when the jars arrive to call and he would drive to shop to pick them up AFTER HOURS and meet who every is dropping them off. If that is not customer service I do not know what is. The day of the wedding the staff was prompt and did amazing job. Even left me a huge arrangement for my entry table as a gift. I am so happy that there are still great companies out there that care and want to make your special day perfect.
Thank you to Dottie B for making my...
Read moreToday, February 11, 2022, marks one year since the passing of my sister-in-law of more than 30 years. I called the local florist, Dottie B's, to see if they would be willing to leave a bouquet of tulips on my SIL's memorial bench in downtown (just a few blocks away from the shop) with a personal note letting those passing by it was okay to take a tulip to give to a loved one. They were so kind and responsive to my request and once they delivered the basket, they sent me several photos of the basket on the bench with the note.
Shortly after the basket was dropped off...my SIL's brother happened to be driving by and noticed a few people stopped at the bench. He stopped to see what they were looking at and after a brief conversation, he was informed that their daughter had died 3 years ago and tears from all started to flow. They asked if they could take a tulip and he said yes...that is what I was hoping for.
I am so grateful to Dottie B's for helping me and making this day more pleasant than I could...

What was very displeasing was the delivery fee of $15 to go 2 miles? That was an extra third of the cost of the flowers. There’s an option to tip florist and tip driver. So, if you do that, you’ve almost doubled the price of your purchase. What does that delivery fee cover if a tip for the driver is separate? My hands were tied because there aren’t that many florists on the island, as far as supporting local businesses. Another nice place had a steep delivery charge too. I say lower your delivery fee, and you’ll absorb more business from your competitors. And advertise it! My career is marketing and advertising, and I know how to generate business. Dont think people aren’t looking at tag on...
