McKee Farms Park — Attraction in Fitchburg

This park is incredible and is really a tribute to the Fitchburg area. It is constantly in use being enjoyed by a diverse group of people. I have never had a bad experience with anyone at this park. It has just about everything you could want in a park. A large play area for kids, well maintained paths for walking, biking, running, etc. It has a large number of Pokemon Go stops and gyms, with rare Pokemon that spawn frequently. It is also dog friendly!

While I haven't ever made use of it, the splash pad is clearly a huge success and a great addition to the park. I used the tennis courts. They are clean and not too run down yet. They have six courts, 3 and 3. They are in a nice area of the park where wind is not much of an issue. The bonus is that they have benches on both sides of the net posts - you cannot find that in any other tennis courts in Madison. The courts play pretty fast, they are not grainy so the ball goes through the court with good speed - I like fast hard courts. The bounce is pretty true to what you would expect the bounce to be. Last night, we joined a farewell gathering for a dear community friend as their family embarks on a new journey in another state for career growth. The space was big and right next to a beautiful playground — so well-equipped and well-kept!
