Wadsworth Dog Park — Attraction in Flagler Beach

I moved down from the NY/LI area in mid June of 2022. Our temporary location was a lovely rental in Palm Coast while we went house hunting. My very energetic dog,Maverick was in great need of exercise and so we came to Holland Memorial park on Florida Park Drive in Palm Coast. The morning crowd welcomed the two of us with opened arms and couldn’t have been nicer. We definitely found “Mav” a home. Eventually we moved to Grand Reserve in Bunnell and primarily due to proximity I discovered Wadsworth Dog Park. Not anywhere on the level of Holland Park. The facilities were not up to speed,the play area was very limited in size, no adequate shade and very few folks came here. Over time improvements were made attracting more guests. On April 24,2023 Holland Dog Park closed for renovations. With that,many,but not all of us came to Wadsworth,some reluctantly. We grew in number as the park continued to improve. We called ourselves the “Holland Park Refugees”. Our morning crowd continues in our great tradition of nice people, playful dogs and a sense of community. If/when Holland reopens maybe we’ll return and change our name to the Holland Park Renegades,maybe with t shirts….Refugees on the front, Renegades on the back with the respective dog parks as a fitting backdrop….oh, and Wadsworth is in the process of completing two Pavilions with water faucets,tables and shade….hey,it’s a...

Went to the dog park today. I’ve been there a few My dog goes in the small apart He’s 50 pounds today. There was so many dogs there and so many big dogs on the left side it was so full and they were all barking at my dog coming in to the smaller pen…. Blue two women come up to the gate You can’t come in here your dog is too big my dog’s been in there quite a few times and he’s not any bigger than those other dogs. They might have been a little smaller, but he was no comparison for the big dog pen. They were too big for him my dog only nine months old. Shame on you women who open their mouth to bully me and my dog who the hell are you who gave you the right to do that next time keep your mouth shut and mind your own damn business that park is for everyone it’s not for you and just you, You’re a good person, then shut your mouth and let everybody enjoy the pot. Your dogs are all barking at my dog. My dog is not aggressive. He’s a good little pup and Is not aggressive. How dare you treat me and my dog like that as if you were the president of the dog park and if you’re reading this, you know who you are step aside and let us come in. We live in Palm Coast too and you don’t own that park go to your own backyard if that’s how you want to...

We're using the dog park we notice that people come in with large dogs and use whatever side they want so when you come with small dogs the big dogs is here doesn't want the little dog there remove one day to the large dog when the large dogs are left but then a man came with two large dogs it came into large area we had to leave because they didn't like the small dogs and the other one on the other part wouldn't go into the large area we have been there many times and the dogs play fine with little dogs I don't understand why they can't go in their own area like a little dogs...
