Suggestion #1) Look at the parking design of several other parks. Keep the parking area set back away from the area where people are trying to enjoy the skatepark. Maybe direct the traffic to the main parking area in the middle of the park. There are way too many (non skateboarder) weirdos that park their cars directly in front of the skatepark, drinking, smoking, watching and doing who knows what. I'm an adult and have my kids with me most of the time and I've literally been approached on more than one occasion by creeps who can't seem to mind their own business. Sometime's I'll wait it out for sketchy dudes to leave before we go skate. This place would be so awesome if we didn't have to deal with that. Surveillance cameras are NOT the answer. Just rework the layout a little. Also, make another exit door in the fenced in area so skateboarders have a chance to avoid the creepsters and dip out the side when necessary. The tennis court has some kind of screen netting that seems to offer them a little privacy. Maybe the same thing would help out in the skatepark. Suggestion #2) A shade... seriously. Nobody wants to huddle under a dirty ramp to take refuge from the blazing hot sun. Something over the bleachers would be perfect. Suggestion #3) What's it going to take to get Team Pain in there to build a real cement skatepark? Although we do appreciate having access to a slab with some ramps, full cement skateparks are all over Florida. They're safer without all the loose sheet metal and rusty railings. If other counties can fundraise enough to make it happen, so can we. Let's do it in Flagler County. Overall, Wadsworth Park is a really nice place with two playgrounds, tennis courts, racquet ball, Basketball, Baseball, and a Soccer field. The park is really clean and the worker with the shaved head does a really great job even though he used to hover around us all the time like a royal pain...
Read moreI was at the back with the dog park the dog park is one of the few that I think is acceptable however the main thing is that some people go there to party and they don't even watch their dogs today there must have been about 11 I kid you not big dogs there for the most part they were well-behaved but I was in a small dog small Chihuahua however one of the big dogs she really didn't get a hole under the fence but he just pushed right through like nothing and came over towards me and my dog cuz I was running to pick up my dog, and I kept yelling towards the Partiers on the bench come get your dog come get your dog okay come get your dog I had to say that about seven times and they finally moseyed over this is Saturday and their scientists maintenance is on Tuesdays so I am not sure yet if there is a number to call to report this to and maybe get it fixed before Tuesday if not then I guess I'm going to have to find a alternative dog park better than that it was all in all it's nice, do bring your own water if specially if you're on the...
Read moreI drove past the dog park today to see if it was open and to my surprise I saw other people parked their. Excited went to go in and sead good morning to the other people the dogs seemed friendly. Opend the gate and the one woman emedeitly starter yelling her dogs name as both dogs went chasing my dog. The other dogs started barking and the one biting at his heels. Good thing I have grate recall with my dog I was able to quickly call him back to the gait to leave. These people didn't even apologize. Acted like they owned the park, both dog owners did nothing but sit their and scream their dogs name. The way the owners acted seemed to me like this was a regular occurrence.Thought that when they reopened that things would be better will not be going back this haven't been the first bad experience I have had...
