Lincoln Woods Park — Attraction in Florence

We should have been warned, after we had reserved the shelter house several months earlier, that the playground equipment was restricted. It was surrounded by fence barriers, and by mounds of dirt and piles of gravel. The picnic tables were dirty and the air unhealthy because of the blowing dirt and debris. Cute little park. Clean and quiet. I love that it has rubber matting rather than mulch. Great for my 3 year old but seems to be geared more toward little kids. The equipment is a little small for anyone 6+ I would think. Not a lot of seating for parents or shade in the morning/early afternoon. This is a nice quiet park, with clean facilities, a shelter, baseball field and lovely play equipment. It is in great condition, clean and well kept. A fine example of Boone County parks.
