Posting with 10 years experience with my set. My recliner was a special order fabric to match the loveseat we bought. It took over a month to come in and delivered. It's still comfortable enough, but the stuffing has flattened greatly. The microfiber fabric looks discolored and greasy, despite constant cleaning. The frame is creaky and wobbly. Mechanism still works but it's extremely warn out. The couch we bought is on its last leg. The reclining mechanism has broken, twisted, unhinged, destroyed fabric underneath. I've managed to keep it working just so I can keep it around for the kids and dog. I've had to reattach the mechanism multiple times. The mechanism has inverted which made me take a pry bar to it. It has twisted multiple times causing it to dig into the fabric. Cheap mechanism makes it unusable at the moment. I thought buying the best (LaZBoy), would mean it lasts longer. We started having problems a few years in, tried to call to have the mechanism checked. They needed the receipt, even though I financed through them at the store. It was actually GE financing and they couldn't do anything without our receipt. I'm probably going to rebuild, tighten, and restuff my recliner because it is comfortable, but so is my friends that spend 1/3 of what I spent and he's had his for a couple of years less. Save your money and buy somewhere else. If it breaks in a few years, you'll still be ahead with...
Read moreThe sales associates and store manager are good. The quality of the furniture we purchased, however, is beyond poor. One of two chairs we ordered had to be re-ordered twice because each time the new chair replacement was damaged in shipping. In other words, only the third one they sent was finally in new , un- damaged condition. The other chair we ordered was okay at first, but began coming apart in back after only a month - we have since been dealing with lazboy’s frustrating warranty/service for almost 5 months now, and the chair’s multiple issues have still not been repaired to the standard they should be. The second repair tech (who does not work for Lazboy) just left for the second time - he said he needs to order more parts to be replaced and some of the ones they sent were incorrect / unnecessary for the issues. The new chair back (that we waited 6 weeks for) he just put on was even made differently from the original and doesn’t fit flush with the chair bottom.
To emphasize, these chairs were over $1900 EACH. We have 20 year old furniture that is in better condition than these 6 month old chairs. We will never purchase lazboy again, and highly recommend you search elsewhere for...
Read moreWe were expecting the delivery of our love seat and sofa today (after waiting four months), when only our sofa was delivered. The delivery man was rude to my wife and told her “it wasn’t his problem”, when she asked why the love seat wasn’t included in the order. The saleswoman in the showroom laughed and was flippant when I asked her where the loveseat was. “It just wasn’t scanned in at the warehouse”. Meanwhile our living room looks bare for an indefinite amount of time while our loveseat floats in incompetence limbo. You would expect a furniture company to function with some degree of professionalism. We sold our sectional prior to the delivery and are now left without enough seating for our family. I wish now that I hadn’t mistaken La-z-boy for a professional showroom, and shopped at a boutique, contemporary showroom instead (these places all have comparable prices to La-z-boy). The company seems to follow the cheap, fast-food model of accountability, with each rung of personnel, from showroom to warehouse to delivery, lacking the competence to prevent problems from occurring, and then lacking the personal autonomy to correct the problems their...
