Went in to buy a large amount of gold a few months ago. They acted like they didn’t have time to mess with me. These are people of the lowest caliber. I originally posted a very negative review and they responded by saying that I was trying to commit tax evasion when in reality, I was simply asking about tax law surrounding large bullion purchases. I ask my lawyer and it’s my bank that reports the cashiers check to the IRS and it is not considered a cash deal. i’ve spent over $20,000 in that store in the past and have the receipts to prove it and they tried to tell me that I’ve never been there. They also seem to have a problem, determining my gender, which seemed to be offputting for them, which is out of my control. Absolutely, the most horribly unprofessional coin and Bullion shop in there tristate. Karma will ctch up work these slanderous charlatans. And as I said before, I took my money to another coin shop and I had my bullion within two days. This business needs to learn that it’s the customer that has to trust the business not the business that has to trust the customer. They have it completely backwards. Two of my other friends had tried to steer me away from this business, but I didn’t listen and I wish I had. If I could write zero stars I would, but if they keep treating people like this, they’re just gonna go out of business on their own and good riddance...
Read moreI stopped in today to sell my foreign coin collection I started when I was a kid. While I know it’s not very valuable there may be some gems in the 900+ collection I have. I was wanting to potentially trade for a silver bar.
I was met with an extremely rude worker that literally laughed in my face when I said I wanted to sell my collection. At first he told me he doesn’t buy foreign coins at all and then backtracked to say actually he sells them by the baggy. That’s fine and all and I understand the need to make money but you don’t need to treat the customer like trash.
After saying he had no interest he opened up my binder to the first page where there was one American coin I forgot to pull out. He said “I thought you said these were foreign coins get that out of there!” This guy should not be working in retail.
I don’t like to leave bad reviews especially for a place like Coins+ because I know it’s a tough business but this location is not doing themselves favors when they treat their customers as expendable. The other folks in front of me were having a bad time, too. I remember going to this store 20 years ago when it was in the mall and always felt welcome. The workers were very nice and helpful. I would suggest going to a different location. I’ve heard the Anderson location is much better as my brother sold his foreign coins there and had a...
Read moreI have been going to Coin Plus 20 years now. They are the only place I buy and sell to. These guys have always taken their time Giving me so much knowledge on value and love of collecting. I wish I could remember the guys name for years helped me. Dave and Ed seriously have more patience than no other and I was shocked seeing the complaints people have posted. Something I have learned in my 44 years is to respect others and their wisdom. These guys have never done me wrong and I have trusted so much that I have even left for them to see what they would like to buy. Their the ones paying the bills for business and been doing this way longer than myself. I have and always appreciate the knowledge they have taught me. They never try sell me anything. I even bounce around in excitement because of my love collecting. Wanting to buy more things that I’m not needing. They calm my britches down and put up half of things I’m not needing.
My first metal detector the man years ago helped me learn and get quality. Because of him many years later I love Metal detecting.
