I've visited World of Golf previously in the summer of 2021 and enjoyed hitting golf balls at the driving range. In 2021 (and likely years leading up) they offered a buy 1 bucket, get 1 bucket for free on Tuesdays. This was certainly what pulled me in and peaked my initial interest.
I attempted to visit this facility in mid-April 2022 when I was told by the staff at the service desk that the range didn't open until after 4pm due to construction. The staff running the desk kindly offered me alternatives -such as the indoor simulators but I was more interested in being outside because it was such a nice day. At that time, the World of Golf website also didn't make any indication that the driving range didn't open until 4pm -it only indicated that the range was limited to 7 mats. Needless to say, World of Golf didn't earn my business that day.
Lastly -pricing. Like any sport, it should be know that it's going to be expensive. Whether it be the cost of the equipment, lessons, or simply the cost to participate. I have found that the World of Golf Driving Range is among the most expensive public driving range that I have hit balls at in the Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati area (when you don't consider the buy 1, get 1 special offer). And, now for 2022 the pricing has also increased to likely offset the newly constructed and installed Toptracer Range equipment/ technology. Driving range buckets at this particular range are an average of 13% higher than a year ago and approximately 63% higher than other driving ranges with identical sized buckets. Don't get me wrong, I know that everything costs money but for this particular activity, nothing is being consumed -so the pricing shouldn't change. Am I being charged for use of the Toptracer technology even though I wouldn't be using it...? I'm just having a difficult time justifying the price increase. For these reasons, I don't know if I'll check World of Golf out in the future. And, if I do -it may just be on a whim.
In short, the reason for the 3-star review is that I feel it previously provided positive impressions but is now seeming to give negative impressions with the lack of customer service and also a bit steep on...

Accolades to the City of Florence, World of Golf, Ralph and all of his staff, and all the unnamed benefactors in conjunction with the PGA and the Veterans Administration for curating and hosting the PGA Hope, Helping Our Patriots Everywhere, Program at World of Golf. The Veterans of the area are highly appreciative of the widespread support given by so many. A huge Bravo Zulu for All. Keep up the good work.

Came for the 4th of July extravaganza with the Naked Karate Girls and the evening Grand Finale Fireworks by the City of Florence. Awesome experience overall. The band and outdoor patio was excellent. Met the pro, Ralph L, superb! Met the band, extraordinary. Watched the fireworks, priceless. Great driving range, even hot a super golf shot, lucky. Had a Burger and Fries, how tasty. Watched some Putt-Putt, delightfully fun. Entertained the thought of renting a club and hitting a bucket of balls, passed as my back was not ready. Next time for sure. Course looked awesome, next time. Plenty of parking, handicap accessible. Easily seen from road and highway, even the overhead arriving airlines. Great for children and youth. Leagues available. Lessons available. Highly recommended for the...
Read moreCourse was awful. Made a tee time at 1pm on a Wednesday, for 2 of us to play it was $84. I know it’s summer and I know they have a bunch of kids camps going on, but the course was almost unplayable. Whole tee boxes were under repair (I hope) and we’re nothing but hard packed dirt. Greens had entire halves that had zero grass on them. I fully understand the course sees a lot of wear and tear during this time of year, but that rate to play a course in this condition is absolutely unacceptable in my opinion. I didn’t even play the back 9, we finished the front and asked for a partial refund since we only played 9 holes, they were nice enough to give us coupons for a free 9 holes down the road, but they would not actually issue a credit. Safe to say I’ll not be coming back here to actually golf for the foreseeable future. For those who don’t know the area well or who may be new to golf, Lassing Pointe, AJ Jolly, Boone County, Kenton County, and Hickory Sticks are all vastly nicer courses for around the same amount of money. Any one of them is a way...
