We tried this park today. It’s mostly for younger children. Big kids struggle to play because it’s meant for small children. People need to know that this park is still under construction. We didn’t know this until we arrived. The bathrooms are not open at this point. The water fountains do not work. There is no shade covering the playground. None. Today was 80 degrees and it was struggle to find a shady spot to stand under because there is also no seating yet for adults. Parents were all sitting under the play equipment or squeezing into any shade they could find while they watched their children play. There’s no seating. No benches. No picnic tables. Outside the play area are a few covered areas where I’d assume that eventually they mean to put picnic tables under. Today parents were sitting on the bare cement because there is no seating available. Some brought camp chairs. Once the temperature reaches its peak during the summer this playground will be unsafe for kids because there is no shade. Artificial turf can cause injuries during summer temperatures. Currently the splash pad, dog park and tennis courts are still under construction. Having no bathroom is a huge inconvenience especially for children. This playground is super cool however. This park as a whole has major potential. We can’t wait for construction to complete so we can...
Read moreWe recently visited Branchton Water Park and had a great time with the kids. It’s a fantastic spot if you’re looking for a place where younger children can have safe, active fun. The water splash area is definitely the highlight — plenty of sprinklers, splashes, and fountains to keep the little ones entertained for hours. There’s also a decent playing area nearby for when they want a break from the water.
The park looks well-maintained — the washrooms and surroundings were impressively clean throughout our visit. It’s clear they’ve put in effort with new mats and updated equipment, which adds to the safety and comfort of the place.
One small drawback is the limited number of chairs. It’s manageable if you plan ahead, but bringing a picnic blanket or a couple of foldable chairs wouldn’t be a bad idea.
Overall, a great family-friendly spot for a sunny day out! Perfect for toddlers and younger kids who just want to run around,...
Read moreWell paved 3/4 of a mile loop suited for all! Great scenery for a dog walk or for a stroller to ride on! There is a nice sized playground, and full basketball court, but know that the park does not have lights, so right after dusk it gets very dark. There is 1 port a potty and parking for about 10-12 cars. It doesn't technically close as it's not gated or monitored, but you definitely don't want to be there in the dark. It's a nice park to bring the kids to run around but if you want more of a hiking trail, go down the road a few miles to the Flatwoods Park. This is more for families and the...
