What a delightful find! Happened to be nearby on an errand, and we decided to try The Grill at Morris Bridge...this was a miraculous discovery! An unassuming location with flavor that REFUSES to stop wowing!!! :) Please know that this restaurant's quality rivals, outstrips, and exceeds numerous other "fine dining" (read: over priced) establishments. So tickled to find this gem! First, the service was PERFECTLY outstanding. (I refuse to utilize absolutes unless they are completely warranted). We were immediately greeted by a nice gentleman who showed us to a spacious and welcoming table that not only accommodated our convenience, but anticipated our comfort; thank you for this, most places could care less. Then, the wait was infinitesimal before we were greeted by our caring, kind, super fun, supremely pleasant, and knowledgeable server (who assisted in our picks for both food and delectable accompanying beverages-thank you for explaining that the completely fabulous bartender Summer would not disappoint as a tequila drink officiando...she crafted the spicy margarita divinely and I only regret our time allottment or I would definitely have enjoyed another from her. Mr. Mark followed up with a second serving, thank you again. Our meatballs with two entirely different and scrumptious sauces were exceptional. Our shrimp were inspired and superbly cooked, the mussels were seasoned to perfection. The strawberry salad combined all of the best and freshest ingredients to please the palate. The ribeye sandwich, the Cuban sandwich, and the salmon that belonged to others in our party seemed to be appreciated as well! Hopefully this is a place that will become a favorite and be around to be enjoyed for many years to come. Once they are further discovered and others begin to find their enjoyment and experiences here as unparalleled as ours, I hope they grow and continue to expand into multiple other locations!!! Thank you from the bottom...
Read moreOriginal Review: We had dinner at this restaurant a couple of months ago. It was a very unfortunate experience because I had really hoped to find a nice local restaurant - this was not it! And the manager was the worst part. We ordered a steak well done, and it came out burnt. The worst part was the manager came and said, "When you order a well-done steak, that's what's going to happen. Dear manager, some education for you - We eat at steak restaurants all the time, perhaps call Berns or Charley's and ask them how to cook a well-done steak without burning it. Here is a picture of a well-done steak that is not burnt for your reference. I only recommend this because I truly believe that this is a learning opportunity for you so you can provide a better experience for your guests.
Addendum: As you can all see from the managers response, he is extremely defensive and unprofessional. Dear manager, it's not about what you recommend, it's about meeting your customer's needs. There is a reason why there are many different temperatures for a steak...it's because everyone is different and people have different preferences. Perhaps you are not very well traveled and so you are very simple-minded. I also suggest that you consider taking a customer service training so you can understand what it means to actually listen to your customers.
2nd addendum: you are the owner, even worse than I thought. And your response further confirms all of my assumptions. 9 countries is not impressive, just so you know. It does not make you well-traveled. In case you haven't taken a finance class, 9 countries is 4.6% of the total number of countries in the world. So your response is laughable. And for your information, I am actually in the business. I give you 5 years and your restaurant...
Read moreAfter the boss's reply to my review i wish to respond. I stand corrected on the baked potato served with steak. It was, in fact a miniscule portion of mashed potatoes. Why can't you make a baked potato?
We just returned from a trip to The Grill, and the bad taste is still in our mouths. Last Saturday, May 13 2023, the restaurant replaced their menu. The new menu has fewer items and more less expensive items. Now there is nothing really special or impressive about the menu. Some of the items are cheaper, if that's what you want. Following is our rating of various aspects.
Parking "3" You share parking with the busy Publix Mall. Ambiance: "2" The inside is nearly bare and has a distinct "sports bar" look. Service: "3" Someone opened the door for us and seated us properly. The wait person was uninformed about unavailable menu items. Although there were very few guests, it took a long time to receive our entrees. We had to ask for salt and pepper. Menu "3" As stated above, the trimmed down menu left much to ne desired. Food " "2" The food was not hot and not what was expected. The grilled wedge salad with chicken was not grilled and the chicken chunks extremely dry. The shrimp scampi was not not and bland. The shrimp themselves were cooked properly. The Steak (New York Strip) and baked potato were excellent if not overpriced. Overall "2" The restaurant had a "cheap" feel to it. It was not up to the level one would expect at...
