I went into Dare 2 Escape with my wife as she planned a birthday surprise for me, now I'm not the most experienced escape room participant, but I've seen enough YouTube videos as well as having my own personal past encounters with them to get a good feel as to what to expect, and I can confidently say beyond a shadow of a doubt that Dare 2 Escape is next level. The experience they provided couldn't be boiled down to something as trivial as difficulty, such as it just being "harder" or more "complex".
The amount of detail and attentive work that was put into creating such an experience could not be detailed as anything short of breath taking, and world-changing. Once you enter any of their escape rooms, you are genuinely entering an entirely different world. Whether it's worries, joy, boredom, or contentment, all of that is left at the door when your escape room begins. From specially curated puzzles, to engaging and thrilling effects, this Escape Room has been the best I have ever seen, and if the rooms weren't enough to make the experience, then the staff by themselves are enough to convince anyone to come down to Dare 2 Escape for a life changing experience.
The staff was abundantly pleasant, and you can see that every single one of the staff members, genuinely enjoy working there. I had the pleasure of dealing with Sean (The Owner) and another staff member (Ariel), who helped guide us through the process, put us at ease with any and every single question we asked. Whether it was us asking for some "extra nudging" to finish the room, or extended time (if available) that they allotted to us, they truly made this an unforgettable experience.
We actually ended up doing two rooms back to back, we were satisfied after the first and left to the convenience store for a drink, but my wife kept praising their escape rooms and how fun the experience was, that we both decided in that moment that we've found a new hobby, and that we were going to use Dare 2 Escape as the means of cultivating it. We started off with "The Ringmaster" which is basically you escaping from a crazy circus guy. I'll spare the details so don't let my underwhelming account deter you from that room, as it was really something you'd just have to experience for yourself. We followed up with "The Asylum" which is perfect for those who want to be scared a bit while keeping their clothes intact and clean without soiling themselves haha. We will definitely be back, and we're training up for "Seven Rooms" I believe, if that's the name, which I honestly wouldn't recommend unless you're really "That Guy" or "That Girl" as you gotta be pretty ballsy to take it on.
I want to give a special shoutout again to the staff, and specifically to Ariel as a lot of times in Escape Rooms, the staff doesn't care if you escape or whether or not you have a good time, but talking to Ariel felt like talking to a family member, who was inside the room with us without being there. She was so attentive to all of our needs, really ensuring that we didn't get "murdered" (Lose the Escape Room), while playing. It goes far beyond providing hints, as she was the final cherry on top in regards to this being a birthday I'll never forget.
Thank you guys so much, and I wish the best for your business, you guys deserve every customer as much as they deserve you guys.
P.S Sean (The Owner) is a horror fanatic so if you choose a scary room, expect some next level stuff that you wouldn't think...
Read moreI have never before written a business review in my life, but we had such a good time at Dare 2 Escape for my wife’s birthday that I am breaking this streak to praise them. We played The Ringmaster game there several months ago and had a great time, so my wife began to follow them on Facebook. Being the giant fan of both escape rooms and The Office that she is, she about lost her mind when she learned that they were going to debut The Paper Company- an Office-themed escape room. The room was scheduled to open right around the time of her birthday, and I wanted to surprise her and take her and her friends. Unfortunately, Dare 2 Escape hit a small construction setback that didn’t allow its opening to coincide with her birthday. Instead, they told me to bring her to play a different room, The Video Store, and for doing so, we would be called upon to be beta testers for The Paper Company before it even opened to the public! This sweet gesture excited her even more knowing that she’d be one of the very first people to try it, and it would extend her birthday celebration to a month. So we went and beta tested The Paper Company this past weekend. Like I said, we are avid escape room enthusiasts, having done them all over Orlando (our team name is The Planet of the escApes), and I can tell you with all sincerity that I had more fun playing this escape room than any I have played before it. If you’re not an office fan, the puzzles are still absolutely brilliant, and there were clever tricks that I had not seen in any room I had done prior. And if you are an Office fan, then you’re going to lose your mind because the tribute to the show is both unbelievably authentic and they tied to the overall room theme and individual puzzles in incredibly clever ways. But here’s where Dare 2 Escape takes things to a level beyond any other escape room in Orlando- the room is based on the Office episode in which Jim and Dwight are responsible for throwing Kelly a birthday party, and your goal in the room is to find the party supplies that were hidden away by an office prankster. Because were celebrating my wife’s birthday, the cake that we uncovered was a REAL cake with her name iced onto it, and after completing the escape room (with just 2 minutes to spare!), we got to sit in the room and enjoy her cake and feel like cast members on the show! If you want to really surprise someone in a special way on their birthday, I cannot recommend enough sneaking a cake and other party supplies to the staff at Dare 2 Escape to hide in your room to make your birthday guest’s day extra special, because it was for my wife! Thank you, Dare 2 Escape! We can’t wait to come back and play the other half of the games there that we...
Read moreFive of us came to Dare2Escape for my birthday and did three rooms back-to-back: The Video Store, The Ringmaster, The Seventh Room. Our experience level is as follows:
Person A: 63 rooms Person B: 63 rooms Person C: 77 rooms Person D: 100 rooms Person E: 101 rooms
The video store was the first room and was well-designed from start to finish. It’s pretty standard that there will be one or two puzzles that I hated, but this game was an exception. I couldn’t tell you a single puzzle that I didn’t like – they were all good. The set design is exceptional, and the feel of the room is very nostalgic.
The Ringmaster was another great game. It’s challenging to give an honest review without ruining some of the surprises, so I’ll just say that Ringmaster has a lot of little secrets that caught us off-guard.
The Seventh Room was the finale for the day and was my personal favorite. It’s obviously the most refined game out of the three we did. I saw many things in this room that I hadn’t seen before. The tech was on-point, and the set design was the best I’ve seen to date. When I measure The Seventh Room against the other 62 rooms I’ve done, it’s easily in my top 2 games of all-time, and it might be number 1; I just haven’t quite decided yet. I don’t want to spoil any surprises, but if you’re a James Wan fan like I am, you must play this room.
Overall, I was very impressed with Dare 2 Escape. Having done a few other Blockbuster escape rooms in the Orlando area, this spot is my favorite. Our game master Hunter was with us the entire day, which I believe is essential. This allowed us to build rapport with him and make the experience better. He was knowledgeable and engaging, which we appreciated.
Shout out to all the creative minds at Dare 2 Escape; you have built a remarkable product that has impressed our...
