This is a great place to fish. Gets a bit crowded, but seeing manatees and dolphins do help ease the day. Open 24 hours to fish. Right in the thick of the Intracoastal. Google maps will have you miss turn, so be aware, although it out on the water under the bridge, 1/4 into going over bridge, you really can't get there. So at the west side ( land side not beach side ) take the turn into the park and the first right. You'll have to gear up before coming. No bait or tackle here. I do recommend Captain Hooks for that. Bring glove(s) , as there are a bunch of puffer fish if that's even the correct name. I think coming here to fish for a rocket launch would be great. But im sure 1,000s have thought of that already. Read moreLove this pier for several reasons. Crabbing is usually active, fishing is great, and the restaurant is reasonable. There is a partial park which is well maintained. Only downside is their website does not stay up to date. Hurricane Irma just came through and pummeled the entire pier. Sadly some of the pier was destroyed but their site does not have any information nor does it tell you it is currently closed or when it may possibly be reopened. Look forward to being able to once again enjoy this place...
Read moreI went to the Pier with a friend to discuss business and I was amazed at how well they repaired or replaced various things due to hurricane Matthew. People were back to fishing from there and the open-air bar is back in operation. The restaurant there has also re-opened and they serve good food with a drink of your choice.
