So today(3/28/24) i( African American, female, 20) was going to pick up my mobile order and shop around. while I’m shopping asked employees if I needed any help or needed help finding anything I said. So I noticed when I said no to one of the employees she gave me a dirty look, then walked over to the next aisle. then I walk away from where I was to go to a different aisle/section of the store.she was there,so then I go to a different part of the store she was there.next I walk across the store to see if she followed and she did,I then asked her why she was following me,she said “I’m just walking around the store” then I walked off, then noticed I didn’t see her a single time after I asked. so I go back to the original section I was at to continue shopping in peace, I found something I liked then bought it. Then after I paid I decided to continue shopping/looking around the store some more, I noticed all the employees would be staring at me. this one lady came to ask me if I needed any help I said no,then walked to a different aisle. I was in the aisle for less then 30 seconds and she happened to be in the next aisle over looking over the aisle watching me.i then notice there are a group of employees talking to each other while looking me,I ignored it and continued to look around more.next thing I know a cop is there and an employee was talking to him and looking over at me to kinda like signal to him that it’s me.i ignore it and continue shopping.i get in line and one of the employees that was talking to the officer rings me up and has a very rude attitude. I take my item and walk outside .i start walking away from the store and noticed 2 ulta employees following me.i turn around immediately to return my items because that was so rude and unprofessional of them to do that after i spent maybe +$50 after picking up my mobile order.so i walk in and immediately one of the 2 workers asked “did i need something”with a attitude. I asked her why they followed me out the store she said “the other employee was having an asthma attack”so i ask where the other employee was(mind you she was the one that rang me up) the first employee said “she was in the back of the store” so I turned to head back there and asked her why she followed me out she said “ she was going to her car”(mind you there were 2 of them and there were no cars in the direction I was walking and the other lady told me a whole different story) so anyways she tells me that lie while walking away. Then I’m approached by the other employee that followed I asked her why they followed me she said she didn’t have tell me(I was ok with that) she then said that I had no business being there. I then asked to speak to a manger.so she told the other employee to call the police. I then waited for the police to arrive while I waited.the second the police officer stepped foot in I said “oh you must be here for me” he then asked me to explain my side I started to but before I could both the employee that followed me outside came up to us to join the conversation. they would talk over me so I couldn’t explain my side of the story. The officer explained that they were trespassing me I said that’s fine but can I return all items first he let me, so I get in line and one of the employees that followed me out told me she was the only one that could process the returns.i wasn’t happy about it but I wanted to leave and was on the edge of tears, at this point I’m recording so I could call corporate and have proof of the situation and she didn’t like that I was recording so she claims “she felt threatened and unsafe” just from me taking a video for my safety and for proof.so I felt like that didn’t make any sense because she was standing right next to me when she and her other employee rudely interrupted the conversation me and the officer were having, she also felt comfortable enough to follow me around the store but the second I pull out my phone she feels threatened and unsafe??????. Read moreI had an eyebrow appointment with Brianna on Friday, but at the last minute. I saw her day before. They called and canceled it because Brianna wanted to go party on St. Patrick's Day. The woman who called me was disrespectful and rudely mispronounced my last name. When I corrected her, she was very nasty and told me that Brianna wasn't feeling well and was throwing up. But she would be back tomorrow. I asked how she knew that Brianna would be back tomorrow, and if she had COVID, she had no right to be there in front of customers and jeopardize their health and safety.
I suspected that something was going on since it was St. Patrick's Day, and the woman made an excuse that Brianna wasn't feeling well and going to the party. I even asked her and another manager that question. When I called back around 4 pm to reschedule for a sooner appointment, I was told that Brianna was there and still working on another client. The employee told me that maybe they canceled my appointment because of St. Patrick's Day, and Brianna had to go to the party.
I called back to talk to another manager and asked her to investigate what happened and why they called me at 3:21 pm and canceled. Then I was told by another employee that they scheduled someone else because Brianna had been coloring her friends brow, and she ended up with a customer. Basically, they switched me with another customer.
I told the manager that I cannot stand discrimination, and I wasn't happy with the way she was talking. I would never do business with these types of people who discriminate against their own coworkers and leave their lives for their own benefit instead of taking care of customers and apologizing and figuring out what happened. These people would just do anything to get rid of the customer and continue with their miserable lives, and they canceled my appointment.
They didn't know that I had already gone to another shop to have my eyebrows cleaned up since they canceled, and I had an important meeting on Monday.
Then she said she's not a store manager but one of the managers. I told her what time I got the call, which was 3:21 PM and immediately after that, she said, "oh no, Brianna checked out at 3:20". At first, she told me that Brianna was there until 6 PM, so I was getting all these mixed messages from different people.
I told her that if Brianna canceled my appointment and took another customer or went to the Saint Patrick's party, probably with the same friend who she switched me with that's not right. That's not the way to treat the customer, and the company can get a lawsuit. This woman told the store manager and Brianna that I'm trying to sue her. Brianna told the manager that she's not going to do service on me. After this type of treatment, I wouldn't go back to her. What makes her think that she disrespects and switch customers and their appointment they would actually gonna go back to somebody like her.
I've had appointments with Brianna before, and she's very slow. She was inappropriately commented about another employee who had pink colored hair and was helping a customer with also pink colored hair what the freak she found her on for the type of person to help. Brianna was saying that she's very conservative, and this employee is a freak because she has pink hair and ended up with a customer looking exactly like her. Who talks like that about the person who’s they work with that’s already discrimination.
I would never do business with these types of people who discriminate against their coworkers and leave their lives for their own benefit. Instead of taking care of the customer and apologizing and figuring out what happened, they would do anything to get rid of the customer and continue with their miserable lives.
