If I could give negative Stars I would. Came here earlier today with my kids, a friend and her kids- party of 8. We ordered a good amount of food. I ordered a "chicken gyro" plate. When I got the plate it was chopped up chicken on rice. It looks like they take the meat from the souvlaki (meat sticks), chop it up, and put it on a plate of food with rice, pita bread, tzaziki sauce and Greek salad. I have never seen a chicken gyro plate like that. I took it back and told them that's not what I expected. When they told me I needed to read the menu carefully before I ordered food and that they would not refund me or make an actual gyro instead, I told them that was bad business. So I ordered a gyro. When I went back to the table I heard my son say that he didn't like chicken gyros so I went back to tell them to change it to beef / lamb and they would not do it! She said I'm sorry you ordered a chicken gyro and that's what we made. Basically, too bad for you! I could not believe what I was hearing and asked to speak to a manager and she said that she was the manager. A young girl who did not know basic etiquette of customer service. Aggravated, I told them to just keep it. I went back to the table and ate food with my party and waited a while until I went back inside to ask for a refund. A different girl who said she was also a manager, issued me a refund right away. Bad customer service, first "manager" was super clueless and rude, the taste of the chicken is not even Greek flavored, the hummus is grainy, the salad has too many onions, the pita bread is hard and the cheese on the Petra fries was dried out. I will never go back!! And I will be sure to be calling the general manager to complain again. Honestly, Pita Q has much better food. For how steep the prices are, the food should be a lot more authentic and tasty. It is way overpriced and the service is horrible! Such a disgrace to call...
Read moreMy wife really wanted Petra today after having to fast for a medical procedure for 36 hours. I ordered two gyros, grilled halumi and an a-la-carte tyropita. After noticing the kitchen workers standing around doing nothing and noticing a guy who came in and ordered 10 minutes after I did had received his food I asked if my order was ready.
The server who took my order asks one of the cooks, standing around doing nothing, about the tyropita. She laughed saying she forgot about it and pulls what looks like a burnt tyropita out of a small oven and another cook starts scraping burnt pieces off of it with tongs then puts it in a to-go box. I asked the server who took my order if it was burnt and she replies "What? No, no. It's not burnt. No. It's not burnt."
I would have asked for a new one if I had time but my wife had already been waiting in the car for 40 minutes and wasn't feeling well after her procedure. I took the food home and opened it to find, as you can see in the photos, a very burnt tyropita. If you like lazy cooks and lying servers this is your place. Never going...
Read moreHaving just moved to Roseville, everyone I ran into recommended Petra Greek as the best place to dine out. Due to my business, I travel extensively every four months and this allows me the pleasure at dining at some of the best restaurants in the US. Its nice to say that my friends were spot on recommending Petra Greek. The atmosphere at Petra Greek was as charming as the people who served me. The Greek essence in the air made me hungry from the minute we walked in. The people around me made it a fun evening , and now we have new friends. Our service was awesome and the cuisine was spectacular. When you have a blending of what I have just described, its a winning combination. We have to say that Petra Greek is our favorite in this community;. We were told that the Owner's name was Mike, and I have to compliment him on creating such an enthusiastic and positive team that rivals the incredible Greek cuisine. Truly phenomenal experience from walking in to walking out. We will be back soon!! Efcharistó, néous fílous mou. Boreíte na échete...
