Ive seen this man get over on other people while in his store watching, I said nothing. Today I dropped my phone after getting it fixed by this company, the entire phone fell apart and the battery fell out, after falling on the face. the screen being cracked is not the issue, I am use to repairing cracked screens- been spending my money here for over a year! the issue is I took it to a competitor before going back to the store (knowing Jean, likes to talk around the point, and was going to find away to blame me, before being honest.) The shop I went to to diagnose the phone issue, stated the phone was missing the screws to hold the screen to the phone and whoever fixed it must of been in a rush, because they didn't remove the strips to stick the battery in after the battery had to be replaced. IF the phone had never dropped I would have NEVER know this was a HALF DONE JOB. When confronting Jean about it, he stated I should have had a case on the phone, which to me says, you wouldn't know the phone repair was incomplete by dropping it, with a case on it. I pride myself in doing business with Black business owners, although things are sometimes iffy at that shop, that's where I have gone for a year, but I will not do business with him anymore. He stated if I wanted a "free" repair or discount I could have just asked, but we both know, I just needed him to take ownership of a HALF done job. and shouldn't have to ask or pay for it AGAIN to be done properly. now im back where I started with a non working phone. I suggest if you are not tech savvy, do not patron this business, he plays of what he thinks you DONT know. Not to mention he Called my phone raggedy etc, and was condescending because it is an older iPhone (iPhone 6s), this is a backup phone after loosing my XR. Quality, THOROUGH, Genuine service is not here if that's what you're looking for. and FYI if he says just leave it here, and get it when you're ready to pay DONT. he sells your things, if you leave them there, I've been in there and heard other customers complain that he sold their tablets, and phones, they left there. More than once! When it's supposed to be 30days before he does this.
I left my MacBook there for repair, earlier this year, he told me 2days for the screen to get there, after 4 days I had to literally PLEAD my case to get it back and take it to Apple and have it repaired under my warranty which I had forgotten about. I should’ve known something was up when he brought it back out only having replaced the screen and battery…stating “he didn’t want to replace the charging port, go test it” So I do test it. Not only is it still loose, but now the phone will not stay on! Keeps rebooting. Mind you, I’m testing this in front of him at the shop. So far I know one of the two hardware items he’s replaced is the issue…so I make him open it back up and slap my apple battery back in. Still, the rebooting problem remains. So now I know it’s either his third party screen or he’s messed something up while inside. He finally agrees to install a new charging port (even though he didn’t want to) New rebooting issue he’s caused still remains. On his third opening of the phone, now there is even a bigger issue…he WIPED MY PHONE! All my photos, videos, memories gone. Claims he did it because “my phone needed to update”… Then naturally things get heated. He’s being intentionally deceitful. I make him put all my original hardware back on for the final time and BAM!!!! Problems fixed. So I loose my money, my 250gb and years of memories, and my phone still has the exact same issues …. Stayed from 10:am to 3:30 pm DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. Incompetent at best, intentional scam, hardware pirate, data and identity thief at worst….Time will tell.
In reply to your reply: Keep telling yourself it’s your clients fault, when you make mistakes, do lazy work, and steal hardware components from your clients phones, clown. Replacing a battery and a charging port on an iPhone should not require you wiping the client’s phone without asking them if they backed up or not. Clown. I went and got my iPhone 6 plus fixed and two months later my phone started having malfunctions then completely shuts off. I went back to see what the store owner could do (which my phone was still under the 2 months warranty that is only valid if your phone do not have any crack or scratches which it had 1 stretch on the SCREEN PROTECTOR) and I got horrible service to the point where I had to call the police (who were on my side) which is rare. This is a shady business he fixes your phone but does something wrong to where it starts to malfunction. Also there was guy in the store that friend was on the phone with him an his friend was saying the same thing his phone was acting weird. I thought it was my doing but apparently it is a pattern thing. PLEASE DO NOT go to him if you do not want your phone to malfunction.
