I'm Highly disgusted and disappointed at the service received here. I always try to support the community. I had the opportunity to come here several times and NEVER had an issue. So mistakenly I entrusted this establishment with providing sustenance to my Love ones who were visiting from out of town...whom I hold VERY Dear to me. 💔💔💔💔 The whole vibe was COMPLETELY OFF the energy was off and the food was amiss.... It didn't sit right with me at all when we walked in I should've had my family leave it was near their closing time on a Sunday. Almost like we weren't wanted in there. The plantain was not good, the rice and peas not good and the cabbage was FAR BEYOND SALTY!!! Energy goes into food what we received here the food and service speaks volumes of the energy and lack of care & concern for the well beings of patrons served here. My Sister in Law became IMMEDIATELY SICK🤢 (VOMITING)after eating The vegan plate You PREPARED. My Mom, My teenage son that's a baby in my eyes, My Brother, My Sister and myself. The food was trash. There were no concerns of people who may have food restrictive diets due to the HIGH SODIUM concentration. I MEAN HIGH!!! I can't. They traveled Very FAR to bring in my Personal New Year with Me and this was definitely a pitfall to the high. Please just be mindful of the people you are serving and the intentions you put out into the world. Smh. This trip here was very disheartening. 🙁🙁 The food was DEFINITELY NOT IT!!! We were never even shown our food before we left like most Restaurants ESPECIALLY Caribbean spots do before you take your food to go. I entrusted the safety and well being of my love ones by bringing them here and I feel like that was taken for granted. Due to the negligence here. If you're going to be in the service field Especially to people please serve with love or find another field where you're not in direct contact with people. As a Human We Should Know that food is HEALTH, FOOD IS LIFE in most cases. It's not ok to play with people's well beings like that nor take their well being for granted for a dollar. Especially in JA that's common practice to K.N.O.W that food is life as Jamaica is full of life and knowledge of it and supposed to be a PROUD island nation of spirit and love based. One Love ☀️💞. Had to throw my food AWAY I took two bites and couldn't stomach. Big on ENERGY!! SMH 😔😔🙏🏾🙏🏾One Love ☀️💞 Please do better. Wish All of You Well the staff and owner but I have COMPLETELY changed my mind about this place.
S/n BLUE hair/long blue fiber was also found in one of the plates as well.
As a People WE have to do better when it comes to business ownership and they way we treat US (each other) and those that CHOOSE to support Our Establishments people work damn hard for their money. & Can done ANYWHERE that they Choose but when THEY CHOOSE to support Your establishment. Especially time after time I feel that MORE care, CONCERN & LOVE should be taken. I would've NEVER served ANYONE not a stranger, even ANYTHING in nature what YOU GUYS allowed us to pay for and ultimately walk out...
Read moreCelebrating My Daughter's Birthday, this was Day 2 of the Celebration and We were disappointed with Everything about the restaurant. After having an Amazing Dinner Celebration @Planta Queen😍 the night before. My Daughter suggested Kingston Grill because She had eaten there before (vegan options)and even bought Me food from there. The suggestion was because there was meat eaters with Us and the Thinking was that this would be a Great Option...WRONG. The closing hour was supposed to be 8pm and even though it was around 6:45 -7pm We had to get the food to go (not by Choice). Nothing could be ordered that had to be made or with stars next to the item 😒. The music playing was RAUNCHY and Very Disrespectful. Talking about Sex saying the p🙀$$¥ and other non Family oriented terminology referring to sex and it was blasting for about 15-20 minutes while We waited for the food to be packed. sidenote: It wasn't playing when We first walked in they started playing it as We were waiting.☹️ GrateFul My GrandMan had His headphones on and not listening to the garbage spewing from the sound system. There were People (workers) gathered by the entrance of the kitchen laughing and being weird. There was a man with a garbage bag that came in one door and went out another. Then ended up coming out of the kitchen still carrying the garbage bag.😐Made Me feel real uneasy about what would be coming from the kitchen.😶 The cucumber, ginger drink tasted like karo syrup with flavors added🤢. The peas and rice had a total of maybe ten peas in it and I also found a piece of hair (looked like a blueish green color). The cabbage was super salty😵💫. Generally when You have to take Your food out, the Restaurants show You what You have...NOT.🫤 This was My first and last in House visit, nor would I DARE get take out. I have Never done a review on this level and it saddens Me to do so. The only reason the service has 3 stars is because the Young Lady at the register was polite and kind. Food was HORRIBLE. My Daughter from another Mother literally got sick 🤮. They were here for the Weekend and My Baby Girl felt bad that She suggested Kingston Grill.😔 Shame on You for not honoring Your store hours and not caring about Your customers who spend Their monies supporting Your establishment. Plus the fact that We came through a downpour to get to Your Restaurant🥺...Food is Energy both Spiritual and Physical, YOU GUYS missed the MARK on Both Levels.👎🏿 The $20 - $30 dollars was per person and there...
Read moreDefinitely not a fan. When coming in, we were greeted and seated immediately, not that there were many people inside. Set up was nice, and there were no overbearing aromas that I sometimes experience when going to Jamaican spots. I came because I saw someone post oxtail tacos from here over the weekend and knew I had to try them. I ordered that, a beef patty, and tea. Tea was nasty, so I changed to a coke. Waitress told me that they were out of lettuce but that they had cabbage they could put on it, so I opted for that. When the food came out, although visually appealing, I wasn't impressed with the taste. When getting the check, I saw that the cabbage was an extra charge. I asked her why she failed to tell me this, and she stated that the charge wasn't for the cabbage but for the pico. Girl, what? That doesn't even make any sense, especially considering that the charge is on the cabbage line and all the photos I saw of it come with pico and sour cream. I assumed it would come at no charge since they were out of the usual. I knew that conversation would go nowhere, so I asked about the other discrepancy. Why am I being charged for tea when I had coke? She says well it's the same price, so it's fine. But it wasn't the same price, or I clearly wouldn't have mentioned it. She had to wait on management to change it. Before the check issues, she was a good, attentive waitress. Maybe she was just having an off day. The bathroom to the right when facing the exit needs the door repaired. The lock was messed up, and I had to pull way too hard too many times to be able to get out of the door. But the worst part about my experience was the food poisoning. I'm not sure if it was due to tacos or the beef patty, but one of them had me down for three days. If it were just the taste of the food that I didn't like, I would've been willing to come back and try something different, but after being terribly sick, I think I'll pass on returning...
