I and my family approach the window before a car pulled around because we had seperate orders so we tried to make it easy by going to the window. We stood there for about 10 minutes waiting on the cashier lady to take our order. She held a long conversation with the individual in the car that pulled around. She noticed that we were there and just continued to keep talking and we waited patiently, then when she finished she stated to the driver to give her a good Google review and the driver pulled off. The lady stood there and said nothing just looking at us no type of hello, sorry for the wait, she didn't even say welcome to checkers how may we serve you. It was a crazy blank stare like why are you here? There needs to be some type of class where you greet people professionally and nicely even if it's hello ma'am or hello sir because that will turn people away. This is probably a reason why no one chooses to come to this location anymore. The last issue I had I asked what kind of desserts you had and whoever was behind the cashier laughed. So I left and never did a review on that time but this time I'm doing it. This location will never get my service again. The food was decent that's the only reason for getting the star that I gave. But the customer service was horrible. Once I started to make the order I had complications with it because her phone was playing a Church sermon - no problem with that because me and my family just came from church but it was extremely loud where she could not hear our order plus the cook couldn't hear her. The lady's name was Bridgette and if she was closer to the window where she didn't have to walk back and forth maybe she won't complain about the boot that she has on her foot that I noticed. This location need some work I used to always come here, I will never come here again I will go to the one on the other side of town just to get great customer service...
Read moreI decided to treat my sisters to dinner and they wanted Checkers so that’s where I go, right? Not sure of the woman’s name who took my order but when I tell you her attitude was so stank you could smell it through the speaker at the drive thru! (Name on the receipt says Tamara). After she sucked her teeth and walked away from the computer and huffed and puffed into the microphone, I politely placed my order. She didn’t repeat it but when I was done she replied, “das it? Drive ta da winda!”
Miss Thing looked like my nephew when he gets mad about having to go to bed early; face balled up like she ready to fight, made no eye contact. This is where I continued to kill with kindness. I was respectful and struggled but managed to look her in the face and smile when I responded.
Another lady brought me my sisters’ food; the only one wearing a hair net in the building. She was a little older than Miss Thing; she was the calm within the storm. Her eyes apologized to me for the lack to service I’d received. I thanked her for the food and wished for her to have a Good Evening.
People, I understand that we all have bad days. We’re human. I understand the struggle of figuring out how you’re gonna make ends meet til the next pay check. Not saying this was her situation, but obviously there was something that ain’t have nothing to do with me that was being dumped on me by Miss Thing.
I hope that she finds her peace, where ever it may be. There is still so much life for her to live. I hope she doesn’t cut her time short carrying that weight and dumping it on unknowing, possibly damaged people, who may in turn, dump it back on her (however that might be).
Breathe. Take a moment for yourself. Acknowledge that you need help, if you do, and seek it. Don’t take it personal....
Read moreThis is the only Checkers location I go to and the food is great, but it is expensive and they are often out of stuff such as the sundaes which is a shame. We also ordered the 8pc fry tenders combo today and it literally turned out to be like 18 dollars???? That is ridiculous, Checkers in general needs to change this pricing. Not to compare, but at Popeyes you can get bigger chicken pieces or combos for way cheaper. The food was good, but the price for that specific combo was just crazy. I don't know if it was the drink that made it expensive or whatever, but the chicken pieces were too small to be worth 18 dollars, should've been like $10 or less. For $18, they either need to add more pieces, make them way bigger or something. Don't know if we were overcharged maybe or they missed something but will not be going back for this, we got this going home and didn't want to go back to complain. I'd only recommend getting the fries or anything with fries as they're good. Their boneless chicken are also bland whenever I used to get some. Go somewhere else for chicken, such as Popeyes or even Chick-fil-A which is close-by. Edit: I just read other reviews and it's true that this location will take a long time to make your food and they may...
