Restaurant Forest — Restaurant in Forest Park

Have you ever wondered if Mexican restaurants have American counter parts south of the border, this would be the thought brought to life, right here in Forest Park. It's decorated like Ray Ray's juke box, down in a holler, with a very small list of food, like wings, burgers, catfish, quesadillas and fajitas. Needless to say, this place is the best kind of ridiculous.

Down to the bad part. The service is GARBAGE. There isn't a hostess, or a sign that says to seat yourself or wait to be seated. If you're lucky, a waitress will spot you. If not, you'll be like the party of 4 I just watched sit for 30 min until they gave up and just walked out (out of 20 tables, only 5 were in use. It would be impossible to miss them)

All I can say is WOW!! After so many years, we finally found where this hidden gem relocated. I had no idea they relocated here but the minute i saw the deer head I knew we were in the right place. THE CATFISH DINNER WITH FRIED RICE AND HOMEMADE TARTAR SAUCE. The only thing I have gotten from here since I was 8/9 years old and now still getting the same order after all these years the recipe is just as good as it was back then. I would say the rice was a little bit more bland but overall just as good as before and I am soo happy I got the chance to eat again! My husband’s favorite food are wings. His favorite flavor is spicy as can be. He doesn’t enjoy wings that don’t have him dying of the spicy kick. This restaurant is the only exception. The wings here are amazing. They have enough of a kick to feel it but not to kill and the flavor is absolutely mouth watering. Usually you get flavor or spice but rarely the two. He has been driving down here from Duluth since I’ve met him just for these wings. The actual restaurant is somewhat dim and the only negative is the bathrooms are far from perfect.
