First and last time. I hope this review prepares you for your first visit at Bingo Magic. This is Highstakes Bingo so prepare to spend min $150 - 200 for the buy-in and to play most of the games in-between. The early games are played on paper and cost 1 -2 dollars per card NOT sheet. 1 bingo board so this will add up as runners are constantly selling these boards. Because you are only playing 1-2 boards it feels less exciting. The main games are played on a machine that does all the work for you. You don't even have to press the numbers once they are called. This made sitting there watching the machine extremely boring for the 5-7 hours you are there. You can play paper too but don't sell big sheets so it's hardly worth it.
Major Cons- this building is in major need of repairs. The AC ran warm at times, the ceiling had water stains, and the Bathrooms were down right disgusting and outdated. There weren't even hooks on the doors to hang your purse or jacket.
As a patron players should expect more because those bathrooms were below standard.
Now, let's talk about the smoking. The main room where you purchase Food, Buyins, and where the restrooms are located allows smoking. After sitting in there 7 hours my eyes were burning and I smelled like an ashtray. They did have a blocked off non smoking area but that defeats the purpose if you still have to walk thru a room where people are smoking to use the restroom or get a snack.
My suggestion would be to make the plexiglass room for smokers and create an outside patio smoking section.
Ending this review on a bright note the players were friendly and happy to answer any questions, this place allows outside food. (Sidebar: someone sat next to me with a fried chicken platter that looked like the best fried chicken I have ever seen) Also, there is a lady who sells some really good cookies in a variety of flavors and the sweet potato pie was absolutely delicious. The desserts alone might be worth...
Read moreWent to Mr.bingo Monday night. The woman that manages the place was very rude she literally yelled at all customers when the announcer made a mistake by dropping ball before bingo was verified this wasn't the first mistake caller made tonite. The manager said everybody makes mistakes and everyone needs to shut up she then proceeded to say if anyone there could call any better they could submit an application, I thought everyone there were volunteers, at least that's what all the signs say, so if their not volunteers why do they force tipping on paying customers?: I really think the manager needs to be reprimanded and apologize to all paying customers! I would not give any stars to any employee at me. Bingo tonite, really sucked bad! Her behavior may have cost y'all many customers. Piedmont Bingo opens next month and we will be taking many customers and...
