Garniers Beach Park — Attraction in Fort Walton Beach

This is one of my favorite chill spots to take my little ones. It's a small park but not many people go here so my son feels more comfortable and theres the bay right there to swim and play ! They have a barrow bin so that is super nice when we may forget some toys for the sand. Only downfall here is people will be people; they keep leaving their trash on the sand and not returning the items from the bin. Let's all be helpers one to another and keep our sweet little space...

This is a quiet little beach tucked back inside of a neighborhood. You can walk out very far from the shore and the water stays shallow. There are tiny little waves, so it's perfect for little kids. There is also a nice little playground behind it. I think this is such a wonderful little place for the public to come for all different reasons. I was at the park a little after 7am on a Sunday morning. I found the restrooms were locked. I left around 8:15am and the restrooms were still locked. It would be nice if the City of Fort Walton Beach Parks and Recreation department could have the restrooms open during this time frame. There were others at the park who probably would have appreciated the convenience of the restrooms being open. I would have gave the park a higher review...
