I would not recommend, store associate kept arguing with me when I said I wouldn’t be available for morning appointments, then didn’t tell us that the couch does not come assembled so if you order threshold delivery, you have to assemble it and take care of the boxes. So I spent $150 for people to drop off boxes when I could have gone and rented a U-Haul for a 3rd of the cost. Definitely will not be going back to Bob’s Furniture.
Updated due to more crap happening: Where should I start? So my wife and I went into their Fort Wayne store to look at new living room furniture. After spending an hour in the store, we settled on a couch and love seat set. Now the sales rep tried to sell us on the “white glove delivery” stating they move out our old furniture and clean up the mess, never telling us that if we did the threshold that our couches do not come assembled and we would have to assemble them. After a disagreement with the sales rep on delivery dates. we finally get it scheduled and we leave.
Well the delivery date comes and not only were they late, the just dropped off 2 huge boxes. So I called their customer service and they actually credited the delivery charge for the inconvenience.
Well now we come to a month and half later, last night I was moving the love seat to clean behind it and the middle section actually came apart. It is only held on by 4 staples, nothing else. So cheaply made for the $800 I spent on it. I called customer service and they were like well you need to text us pictures and talk to their rep via text. I said no, I want someone on the phone and asked for a manager. They hung up, I called several more times asking for a manager and they kept giving me the runaround.
So I drove to the store, I walk in and they are all sitting on couches playing with their phones. I asked to speak to the store manager and this guy (that refused to give me his name) started arguing with me saying I needed to call their customer service and I asked for their regional manager’s contact number and they said oh well we don’t have that and I told them that they can contact corporate and get it. There was just a back and forth with them when another man (named Noah) interjected and said he was the store manager. He said he would get me scheduled for Dec 2nd, I said that wouldn’t work for me due to my work schedule so the only date that would work after the 2nd is Dec 7th. Which I was not happy about, the manager was just being argumentative and I said I needed a sooner date than Dec 2nd. He said that he couldn’t accommodate that and I said well you need to figure something out because there are large staples hanging out that my children can get injured on. He said that it wasn’t his problem And I said well apparently you have never heard of the customer as is right and he said, that he has but in this case the customer is wrong. We continued to go back and forth to the point he said I needed to leave and called the police on me. So while I was outside of the store, I called and got their corporate escalations which said that it shouldn’t have got to the point that it did and that unfortunately they could only get out there on Dec 7th since the other dates wouldn’t work.
Based on their horrible customer service and cheaply made products, I will never do business with Bob’s Discount...
Read moreWhen I first entered the store I was pretty much hounded by 3 different sales people. I understand they're doing their jobs but it drove us to leave the first time we visited. The second time we visited, I had gotten to look at their website prior to my visit because the amount of people approaching was very overwhelming. We picked a bed frame and was shown we could go through their program called acceptance now.
The acceptance now lady that helped us was very nice and thorough letting us know that we could make alternate arrangements if we got the bed and found we didn't care for it.
Unfortunately we did end up not caring for the bed, it looked nice but it structurally wasn't sound even after making sure all the bolts were secure.
When I contacted Bob's furniture to request a return and that I had gone through acceptance now, I was told I was not able to make a return at all. So then here I was stuck thinking we were stuck with a bed we don't want with payments that we were stuck with.
After the first missed payment the acceptance now manager at the time reached out to me. By this time I had turned off autopay because what we were told originally about being able to return the bed frame, I was told was inaccurate by one of the Bob's furniture managers.
She reaches out to me to let me know that the Bob's furniture manager was probably misinformed and what she had told me when we signed for the bedframe they would honor. We set up for a pick up from rent a center because that is how acceptance now repurposes the furniture they finance from Bob's. Meanwhile waiting for the pick up, I have an unauthorized charge to my account for a full payment amount for the bed to my account.
I notified the acceptance now manager that this happened without my authorization and she told me that as soon as they get the merchandise returned they would issue me a refund.
Fast forward to now, the acceptance now manager I dealt with is no longer employed at that location, the return has been done, and now I'm being told they will not issue me a refund I was told I would receive.
I would NEVER deal with acceptance now nor shop at Bob's ever again and plan to make sure all of my friends, family, and colleagues are aware that this is how...
Read moreMy sister and I went into Bob’s Discount Furniture around the end of Feb 2024 to buy me some new furniture. I explained to our Salesman Jack that I was moving out of Assisted Living and into a brand new Independent 55 community Apartment. I ended up buying over $6000.00 of Furniture that day and Paid CASH for it. They were supposed to deliver Everything the same day because I had not physically moved in there yet. My 4 bar stools were delivered and sat outside my garage. No signature required or anything. The leasing agent called me and told me. She took pictures of the bar stools sitting outside the garage, then she put them in my garage and took pictures of them there. I have attempted on 4 different occasions to talk to someone, last one was a manager about taking these bar stools back. They each weigh approx 33lbs. I recently had major hand surgery and am unable to lift these 4 stools. Plus I have surgery again in less than 2 weeks. They have said they will call me…never did. Then they said they would email me… never did. I told the manager , I said that is pretty bad when you won’t help out one of your customers who bought all that furniture and paid CASH for it, plus lost her husband 10 months ago and is trying to rebuild her life and you can do Nothing??!! Plus 2 of the bar stools are in there Original boxes, never been opened, the other 2 are put together but never hardly sat in but a couple of times. Bob’s Discount Furniture is someplace I will Never shop Again at and I would recommend you think twice before spending your hard earned money before going there. They will run you around in circles weather you can’t lift furniture or your husband just recently passed away or whatever. They have No Compassion!!! Mrs. Debbie Feighner/...
