I have been eating at the Red Robin in Glenbrook Mall for several years now and usually get decent service. The past couple times I have been there though, it was very subpar and today I ended up leaving before being seated. First thing was I overheard one girl say that one table has been sitting dirty for over 2 hours but it’s not my table so I’m not gonna clean it. Next thing was she and another girl were arguing about who’s party was supposed to be seated first. Then an assistant manager came in and jerked a laptop out of another person’s hand and told him not to touch it again. All of this took place at the hostess stand in front of all of the customers! After watching 3 people get seated in front of me who like me had 2 guests, when I was there before all of them, asked why I had not been seated yet. She said that the others were there before me. I pointed out as nicely as I could that I had been there before and was sitting on the bench and had watched all of them come in after me and my friend. The customer jumped in and no you just showed up now. I said no, have been waiting on the bench and watched others get seated in front of me. I don’t think you saw me sitting there. She proceeded to argue with me so I ended up walking away rather than continuing to be treated like that from a customer and the employees. At that point I had lost my appetite for RR! Because I love the food, I will return but not for a while. No excuse for rude comments, insults and unprofessional behavior and attitude from servers...
Read moreWhen we first arrived, front door host looked like she was hated her life or was sick. Told us it would be ten minutes when there was no one at the bar at all. We got to a table in about 5 minutes, no big deal. Ordered our food. I got the four cheese melt and my boyfriend got a tavern menu burger with bottomless fries. Finished my beer before food arrive, took about 20 minutes when traffic was pretty slow. We got over that. The burger was good but looked like it had been sitting a minute and he received like 10 fries and was never asked for more. We spent about an hour there and our server was friendly but only asked if we were doing okay once. Her coworker asked her, “Can you read?”, to which she was dumbfounded by the statement and then the coworker retracted her steps when she saw that the server had put whatever away properly or had done her job the right way. The server seemed pretty mistreated from my point of view which could have been why she didn’t greet us as often. The seats and tables had leftover lettuce and crumbs on them. The front door had handprints all over that were clearly visible that it hadn’t been wiped down in a minute. We paid and started to walk out and was not told to have a nice day or recognized at all. It was slow while we were there, and granted they could have been short staffed which I have worked in food service. I get it 100%, but just the lack of treating customers and coworkers respectfully just threw the whole experience off. Probably...

I had written Red Robin off many years ago after a less-than-stellar experience at the Kansas location, which has since closed. However, dining at the Red Robin in Fort Wayne completely changed my perspective. I brought my entire family—6 of us—and everyone left excited and happy with the food and service.
The gourmet burgers were a highlight, bringing back memories of the quality I missed from Kansas City. Our group ordered a variety of items, including turkey burgers, regular hamburgers, California chicken sandwiches, sweet potato fries, and flavored teas. Everything was well-prepared and delicious, reminding me of what Red Robin is capable of when at its best.
Our server was attentive and friendly, making the experience even better. Although there was a brief moment when my drink was forgotten, the overall service more than made up for it. The staff’s dedication to ensuring we had a great meal was clear.
This visit was a reminder that sometimes you have to experience something for yourself rather than rely on others' opinions. Even though some of my family and friends have criticized Red Robin in the past, this location in Fort Wayne proved them wrong. If you’ve been hesitant to give Red Robin another try, I recommend visiting this one. It’s...
