Our most recent visit to the Fort Wayne Civic Theatre was to catch a showing of The Nutcracker presented by the Fort Wayne Ballet. I highly recommend making this an annual event for everyone in your family. The quality of this production is outstanding from the blossoms to the Sugar Plum Fairy. The first few shows of the season also feature the Fort Wayne Philharmonic and the Fort Wayne Children's Choir which adds great depth to the performances. Read moreMy sister took my grandson and myself to see the Theatrical for "Elf." The seating is great at Ft. Wayne Civic Theater, I couldn't see anyone, small or tall, moving their head around trying to see the stage. And I have to give a big shout out to the actors/actresses for Elf!! They all did a great job! And after the show ALL of the main characters made themselves available for pictures with anyone, and they were all very "down to earth." GREAT JOB FT. WAYNE CIVIC THEATER!! Read moreThe Civic puts on a delightful selection of plays with local talent (not the touring Broadway show). Today we saw The Miracle on 34th Street which was beautifully done and had really interesting set design. Other shows have been anything from awesome (Sweeney Todd) to so- so (Rock of Ages), but I'm totally willing to admit that beauty is in the eye of the beholder! A reasonably priced way to spend your day. My only caveat is that the restrooms are limited, so run to avoid the looooong line at...
