Fort Wayne Escape Room — Attraction in Fort Wayne

Our group did not have a good experience at all in Inception. This is the 5th consecutive time we have come to Fort Wayne Escape Room for my son's birthday. This year was his 16th birthday and this year was also the first time complete strangers were added to our experience without our consent. Each previous time we have been to there I have purchased between 4 and 5 tickets and we have ALWAYS had the room to ourselves and ALWAYS had a great time. Having 3 strangers in our room made the whole experience awkward and uncomfortable for our group. My son suffers from social anxiety already and this did not help in the least! We were never asked if we would mind having another group with us and in fact it was never even mentioned to us, they were just escorted into the prep room with our group and nothing was said to us about them being in our experience with us until we were all walking out of that room. Our group showed up 15 minutes before our reservation time, (plenty of time to explain to us that another group would be joining us) the group thrown in with us had a member show up 5-10 minutes late and she was just let into the room after she got there. That was also NOT appreciated. One other thing that was not appreciated was that when I confirmed where the bathroom was located the gentleman I spoke to apologized and informed me the bathroom was out of toilet paper. I considered calling the health department upon hearing that bit of information but my phone was in the car and I didn't want to ruin my son's fun, little did I know just a few short minutes later the staff would take care of that for me by putting 3 strangers with us. Thankfully my daughter didn't have to use the bathroom while we were there. I emailed them and got no response at all. I sincerely doubt we'll be...

The owner reached out to us right away and was SUPER nice. There was an issue with the set of instructions we got, and the business is addressing this, which is great, because this really was an interesting and challenging room! We have been invited to try again, and we are really looking forward to it!

Our family recently did an escape room here, and although there were some fun things about it, we left feeling pretty unhappy. Our gamemaster had REALLY emphasized that we should be respectful of the room (don't damage anything, basically, which of course we already knew), but without revealing too much, there were at least 2 instances where we HAD to do things that felt really wrong based on the instructions she had given us. We lost a ton of time because of this. The rooms are not miked - unlike the half a dozen other escape rooms we have been to - which is problematic because every time we wanted to communicate with our gamemaster, we had to use a walkie-talkie. We had an issue with one of the room elements not working right and forgot that we had to use the walkie-talkie, which resulted in our gamemaster saying repeatedly (although reasonably nicely), "What are you guys doing?" without reminding us to use the device to talk to her.

We'd actually like to go back and try again, knowing what we know now about what's actually "allowed." However, this place really emphasizes that you can't do the same room again. We'd happily accept that our success wouldn't "count" - we just found the room actually interesting enough to want...

I have done 3 rooms here, Patient Zero, Iron Throne, and Deep Space... and I loved them all! The different rooms have very different themes, and the puzzles and entertainment fit extremely well within each theme, such as lights going on and off being used for a medical room, but not a candle-lit dungeon. I also enjoy that there are multiple rooms within one "escape room", as it feels more substantial than other escape rooms that I have been to. The puzzles aren't overly complex, but they are still very challenging, and they really do make you solve a large a variety of puzzles within each room. The staff is very friendly and helpful, Justin is known to our group for going over and beyond as a room master - (we know he helped with the murder mystery at Science Central too!) He is a great actor and a wonderful addition to this business. Overall, the themes and decor are just absolutely spot on, and I have been amazed each time at the overall production value here compared to other escape room locations. You really get your money's worth here and you will have a good time. I wish all escape rooms held themselves to...
