This might be cheating because I worked here... so I will keep as unbiased ((negitivly)) as possible: The staff is amazing towards customers compared to other Kroger stores or other retail giants. There are busy lines with ample cashiers being pulled from every direction of the store to make sure the customers are happy. ((However, this also takes away from the customers experience when they can't find help in a specific department because the on duty stocker is cashiering and not doing their actual job. And at times the department manager is no where to be found.)) Produce is usually amazing depending on of course what is in season. I do my produce shopping here because you get good deals and amazing produce. A vast, chilled organic section and some seasonal odd fruits hang around there for short periods of time. Not only do they have a Starbucks but they also have an amazing salad bar, sushi ""bar"" with freshly made, in store sushi. A deli area where you can get delicious meals of chicken, vegetables, etc put into a tray/container. And also a cheese bar? I honestly can't remember the name. Their bakery is also very nice. As selection goes, it's a very large Kroger with more departments than usual, so you will most likely find what you are looking for. From eggs to patio furniture they've got it. Again, this store is large and very customer oriented. Yes the parking lot is terrible. They can't do anything about it and...
Read moreHey, Fish guy! Maybe part of your job description is to be rude, condescending, and openly make fun of and embarrasing customers who ask you for help! You and your associate thought it funny that we didn't understand you. "You can get it at the service counter... where you get service. Ha, ha ha." You both shared a laugh while you couldn't stop what you were doing long enough to be sincere and helpful with people who didn't understand.
Add-on review... After contacting the home office 2 days ago, I have only received confirmation of my concern. No other reply. And, after reading other reviews regarding 601 East Dupont, Fort Wayne, I am struck by the repeated reference to "rude" associates. It would seem that their customer relations meetings would stress this common sense idea that "we are here for our customers". However, I have to conclude that maybe the prevailing work pressures result in the attitude that, "we could better do our jobs if these (damn) customers weren't in the way!" Just a thought... I interrupted a Walmart associate this AM... His reply..., "No worries, I'm paid by the hour". Different atmosphere. (Yeah, Walmart has their problems, but every single time I ask for help, the associate willingly stops and helps. Quote, "That's what I'm here for." [Lima...
Read moreJust moved to the Fort Wayne and this store is less than a mile away. Beautiful cheese section, bakery, fish, and deli. The problem is that the shelves are never stocked and it's a bit unsettling (I always feel like I'm walking into a zombie Apocalypse movie). The other issue is that there are never enough cashiers and some of the cashiers are fast and some have zero sense of urgency- no consistency. I used to use the self-checkout, but the lady with the face shield always treated me like I was trying to shop lift- constantly walking over and asking if I scanned this or that- Um yes, I know how this works. I was also told I could not purchase a pack of toilet paper, a pack of paper towels, and a bottle of laundry soap and that I could only pick 2 of those items-Pretty sure that's not how it works anymore. It's also quite expensive to shop here. I discovered Meijer is 4 miles way - Totally different experience! Shelves stocked, less expensive, they are staffed and...
