Probably one of the most disappointing experiences I've ever had here haven't been since I was young. Breadsticks are half ass decent. Three sauces they give you with them are very bland except the marinara.... the cheese is literally just nacho cheese u buy in the Bulk cans at Walgreens or Walmart.... Prices are insanely unreasonable especially with the content of the food they put out. I got a pork tenderloin it was dry as could be no mayo no onions nothing that the recipe said on the menu(cost me 15 bucks😂 bro my home town fair makes better tenderloins than this 4star restaurant.."that's a problem".. my girlfriend got stuffed shells with white sauce they weren't cooked correctly little tough... And to top it all off my waitress looked at us three times tops. I literally had to go back in the kitchen and ask for marinara sauce because I sat there with a dry sandwich for about 10 minutes and then before we left it took 30 minutes for us to get boxes and our bill (it was completely dead and there was about 10 people in the whole restaurant)we timed it, and the waitress literally has 3 tables, she was so bad that when she came to check on us, she completely walked past the table wirh no silverware and they had to yell at her foe spoons ..... I'm no five star VIP guest I grew up in a trailer but when I tell you, ... I've had better service and better service from a steak 'n shake with half the price I'm not lying... I don't mean to be a burden and that really hurts me to even say this but for what money people are paying you need to have a good service team in and out quick there's no reason I shouldn't get one refill or have to walk back to the kitchen to get a cup of marinara sauce.. I'm sorry for the lady that we didn't tip but if that's your best at service you need to find a new job... Completely untrained staff. We will never come back . Waste of 50 bucks and no we didn't tip. Kiss my grits.. go to curusoso in Angola if u want half authentic Italian food.. at least they have real huge homade breadsticks and pasta sauces.. this place is literally just a Olive garden type franchise with no authentication. MY FRIENDS GRANDPARENTS OWN IT...
Read moreI'm so confused. Casa was very highly suggested to me, and I was really excited to try it. In my opinion, everything was...just okay? Here is a break down of what we got:
Table bread: It was alright, nothing to write home about. Sometimes table bread can be a draw in itself, but this was just a small plain sliced roll. The table had olive oil which was really nice, flavored with chili and garlic and it was good on the bread.
Meatballs: These were probably the best thing we ordered, the meat sauce was very good and the meatballs were well made and delicious.
Garlic cheese bread: This was Texas toast with cheese melted on top. Good, but not very impressive.
Side salad: This was... awful. Soggy, flavorless, mostly iceberg with tiny slivers of carrots. The first time in a long time I wanted to send something back.
Filet mignon tips, side pasta: These were okay, they were a little dry and the plating was haphazard and not very appealing. The side pasta had the meat sauce on it, which again was very good.
Rotisserie chicken, side pasta: The chicken was very moist. This was supposed to come stuffed with bacon and herbs. That.. wasn't a thing. It was also supposed to have been "basted in a red currant glaze." But it was squeezed on top like a desert topping. Again, the plating was not good, just perched by itself on a lonely plate. The side pasta I got was penne in butter sauce. The sauce was literally just butter. It was buttered noodles. I don't know what I was expecting, I guess just something that I wouldn't have been able to do at home.
I don't know if it was just what we ordered or what, but the whole experience was just okay. It felt like it missed the mark every time.
Our server seemed overwhelmed and disinterested, and had a difficult time answering some questions about the menu.
The prices were pretty normal for Italian food, but given our experience it would probably be more worthwhile to go to Olive Garden...which is really a shame.
Fort Wayne can and has done much better than this. Try another local...
Read moreI have not been to this restaurant for a few years as I’m from out of town. My wife and I loved this place and the Caesar salad was fantastic. Went there two nights ago for a little celebration with friends. We had appetizers which was good but that’s where it ended. Ordered one bottle of vintage red wine and everyone ordered their meals. This was one bill and we could order anything we wanted thanks to Brian. Brian’s wife order a pasta dish with extra sauce. I ordered that great Cesar salad with grill chicken. The meals came and Brain ordered another bottle of the same wine. His wife got her pasta with no extra sauce. Right away I saw my salad was so cut up in little bits; soggy and dry. I didn’t complain as I didn’t want to ruin the evening event. 20 mins later our waiter came back to announce that there was no more wine and when we ask about Brian’s wife sauce he immediately said that he was going to charge us for it and was waiting to see how much before he brought it. The wine situation was no solution so everyone just had to switch to the house wine. By the time he came back with the sauce Brian’s wife was done eating. I told him I needed the manager and he stormed off never to be seen again. The only thing the manager did was take the sauce off the bill. I’ll never go back and I’ll bet they will not be in business long. Businesses run on reputation only so long. Your only as good as your last...
