So I actually went to this park with my family and it was a terrible experience. I have a 6 year old and 12 year old & as you could imagine, their abilities differ due to the age difference. When we got in, the main reason we went was because my son wanted to play in their virtual arcade. Well when we arrived they gave us all the info, let us pay & then as soon as we went back into the park, we found out the virtual arcade was “broken”. My youngest was interested in the indoor play place for little kids so I went one way with her while my husband went with my son to explore the rest of the park. Eventually they came back to check on my youngest and I & my oldest decided he’d go into the play place with my youngest so they could do something together for a little. My husband and I were sitting on a bench watching them play when a team member approached my oldest and scolded him rather rudely thinking his parents weren’t watching. I walked up and asked if there was a problem or if I could help them with something. She explained that she didn’t know we were sitting here (LOL) and that the playplace was for kids 8 and under I think. Maybe 6 & under. But that if he was in there with a sibling it was fine but if not, he couldn’t go in there. I felt it was extremely inappropriate to approach a child & not their parents when we were CLEARLY the only parents on the bench & they were the only children in the play place. My oldest wasn’t interested in the slides, he truly was most excited for the virtual arcade & so we decided this place wasn’t really for us & wanted refunds and to leave. We tried speaking with the manager to request a refund & then they suddenly got the virtual arcade up and running. The virtual games are quick 60 second games you play with other players and if there aren’t enough players, you can’t play. This place was designed for an older audience in my opinion. It is not designed for small kids and the staff were just down right rude when it came to not staffing every course/activity. Also, how their employees aren’t trained on family dynamics & how important it is to choose your words & tone carefully when you approach another person’s child. (Especially while representing your employer.) I will NEVER go back there unless I find out there is...
Read moreTook my 2 grandkids here yesterday (4 & 6 yrs old). Didn’t even know this place existed, only found it by googling things for kids to do in Ft. Wayne. Massive parking lot- parking will never be an issue. This place is EXTREMELY clean! I watched throughout our time there almost every staff member wiping things down after each use! -THIS IS A HUGE DEAL IN MY BOOK- VERY IMPRESSED! They did a couple of the attractions & then decided they were hungry. We ordered food & drinks & it was brought to our table once done. The hotdogs & fries were absolutely delicious Per my grandkids but………the Angus Burger that I ordered 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️. I was stunned. I don’t know if they ran outta hamburger or ordered the wrong buns but, holy cow! The buns were almost twice the size as Arby’s buns & the burger was right about the size of a single hamburger from McDonald’s. I honestly thought they gave me the wrong sandwich. I took it back up to the window & showed them, they explained that the wrong size buns were ordered. I totally understand that because things happen & no one is perfect! The staff were all very kind & they did, more than once offer to make me something else but I declined and we went on about our play. Overall my grandkids had the absolute BEST TIME!! In a VERY CLEAN, SAFE & MONITORED ENVIRONMENT! My grandson is very picky & gets bored quite easily with things so I was Very, Very Shocked to hear him say “ Grandma”, that is the best place on this earth”. SO, I say all of thee above to say this: I don’t care how many times they order the wrong size buns- I will ALWAYS bring my grandkids back to Power Up! It is one of the greatest things for kids to do in Ft. Wayne! My grandkids were so full of complete & pure happiness, as a grandma watching her grandkids have the time of their life, it means everything! Power Up Action Park is definitely our new...
Read moreIf you are looking for something fun to do with the kids, check out Power Up Action Park at the Spiece Fieldhouse. They are currently in a soft opening phase and expect to be fully developed in March but there was already enough there to keep us busy for 5 or 6 hours and we didn't try everything in our first visit. It ws about 20USD for a day pass per child. Register for the app before you arrive so you won't look clownish at the desk for 10 minutes, setting it up like I did.
Attractions include: a better sky trapeze than Crazy Pins, awesome slides, a ninja obstacle course, bouncy house, duck bowling, axe throwing, virtual reality, a decent collection of arcades, prizes for the kids, vending booths and a bar for the bored adults to buzz by while their dauntless children zipline around the ceiling for 2 hours. We did pretty well for tickets on the fishing simulator! They serve food and will keep a tab open to save the hassle of frequent charges during your visit. There were plenty of safety observers available to help keep an eye on the kids. The staff was professional and very friendly. I talked to a lot of the staff and looked over the assemblies closely. Safety observations were excellent. The only service complaint I had was the out of service gaming kiosk but the front desk is able to manage gaming cards when the kiosk is out of service. A few bugs are expected to be experienced during a soft opening 🤷♂️ but I have not heard thank you from my kids this much in a very long time. Our girls had an absolute blast!!!
