I needed help with my small business which was growing. I needed to link three locations computer stations. I went into Stone Computer and asked for help. I was advised to buy three wireless routers to link the locations and was told by the technician that it was pretty easy to figure out, but that if we had trouble they would be available at $100 an hour. When the routers came in we took them to our office and started to try and figure it out. It was far more complicated than advertised. We called Stone Computer to ask for help and we were told the technician we talked to couldn't help, but he would have someone call us right back. The next week we called again and we were told that we would need someone to come out and help us. I agreed to this but was told they would have to call to set that up as the technician that did such work wasn't available. Another week passed and I called Stone Computer back and was told how sorry they were that the calls were not returned and they would have a manager call me and set up the service for me. NO CALL!!! We have over $300 of routers that are of little help to us. We are now searching for another reliable company to help us. If you want help, if you want service, if you expect responsible service, DON'T GO TO...
Read moreAn update to my review. Yesterday I went to pick up my fixed computer. I was excited to get it back and I had 100% paid for it the day I left it with them to fix it. Upon getting there yesterday I was informed that I owed more money for some part that was needed. I told the guy that I had already paid - over 3 hundred fifty dollars - and found it disappointing that 10 more dollars were needed. It didn't matter and I still had to pony up that amount to get my computer back. To be clear: it's not the 10 dollars that bugged me so much. It's the fact that I was paid in full when I dropped the computer off and still had to pay more for a small part. It reminds me of the oil change I got Saturday. I had called to get the price, was told the price and when the car was finished, the price was not the price. I owed more money and when I asked why, I was given a list of special "fees" that were added on. So it was with Stone Computer and I'm disappointed. And my monitor now has a slight sepia tint, which I have tried to fix myself to no avail. I appreciated the fact that Miles told me my computer wasn't toast and could be fixed. But I'm not happy with my experience...
Read moreVery happy with Stone Computers. Michael, Carl, and that wonderful woman who runs the show! Thank you! I bought a desktop that saved me hundreds of dollars over Best Buy. Thank you! Miles & Crew do a great job & it is easy to get followup advice - not that you will need it. Whenever I go into Best Buy, I worry that I am steered to a computer that the sales rep gets a kickback for selling. Pretty sure that is what happened last time, and we have suffered for years for it. Pretty sure Miles won't let that happen. Glad we went local. Thanks, again, Miles.
What a difference! My wife's laptop was impossibly slow (thanks Worst Buy for steering us in the wrong direction!). Michael cleaned up the problem areas and installed some inexpensive upgrades. The results were astounding. Very fast! Better than expected and for a very...
