Stopped by Ichiddo Ramen on a Saturday afternoon around 3:00 PM. The place was nearly empty, with just one other patron dining, which made for a quiet and relaxed experience. From the moment I walked in, the service was friendly and professional—attentive without being overbearing.
I ordered the Char Siu Ramen, which came with roasted pork belly, fish cake, a half-cooked egg, bamboo shoots, black fungus, green onions, and black garlic oil in a soy sauce base. I also added an extra half egg and extra noodles because, let’s be honest, having leftover broth without extra noodles to soak it up feels like a missed opportunity. The ramen itself was flavorful, well-balanced, and on par with some of the best I’ve had—though, to be fair, I haven’t traveled far and wide in search of ramen. Still, everything was cooked just right, and the flavors came together beautifully.
For an appetizer, I went with the Gyoza, which had a nice pan-fried crisp on the outside and a flavorful pork-and-veggie filling. The house special sauce paired well, adding just the right amount of tang and depth.
Pricing-wise, the extra add-ons might feel a little steep for what you get, but I’d still do it again—so take that for what it’s worth.
The atmosphere is modern and sleek, though I won’t pretend to be an interior design expert. The soft jazz playing in the background may not be the most traditional choice for a ramen shop, but it worked just fine for me. If I were eating at home, I wouldn’t tailor my playlist to my meal, so I can’t fault them for doing the same.
Overall, Ichiddo Ramen delivered a great meal with solid service and a laid-back vibe. Worth a visit if you’re craving a well-executed...
Read moreThis place is a tough one, they get some things right and others wrong. I feel like the noodles need some work, they seemed a bit rubbery. Not what I am used to, they should be firm and a bit chewy. The broth was good and the flavors were there but spicy miso should be spicy. Just wasn’t any kick to it. The gyoza was great, and the dipping sauce was awesome. Unfortunately the takoyaki was not. It was gooey, like it’s supposed to be, but the tako definitely tasted like it had been frozen. Now I get the logistics here, fresh octopus is hard to come by. But it just ruined it for me. Back to the ramen, the egg…was cold in the middle. Typically, the eggs should be cut in half when added to the broth. Doing this would avoid giving someone a cold egg. I bet if it had been warm, it would have been delicious. The broth could have been a bit more hot temperature wise. It was warm at best. Finally, the service was not good. Friendly, but not timely. While greeting and drink orders were relatively quick (compared to the rest of the meal), yet still slow, our food order wasn’t taken for about 20 minutes. Gyoza and takoyaki came out as appetizers in intervals. Gyoza arrived about 8 minutes after we ordered it, and the takoyaki arrived about 15 minutes after the gyoza. Almost 25 minutes for an appetizer. I’ve cooked takoyaki quite a few times, definitely does not take 25 minutes. The ramen showed up about 5 minutes after the takoyaki. Perhaps there was a back of house issue that night. Regardless, I’ll definitely give them another shot. Everything was so close, and I hate leaving a bad review because I really want to...

If you've ever pondered the existential question, "How much ramen is too much ramen?" then you've clearly never been to Ichiddo Ramen. Nestled in the heart of flavor town, this place isn't just a ramen shop—it's a noodle nirvana.
Upon entering, I was greeted by an aroma so divine I half-expected to see angels with chopsticks. The ambiance? Imagine if your favorite cozy sweater was a restaurant: warm, comforting, and oddly reminiscent of every good decision you've ever made.
I ordered the signature bowl, and let me tell you, if I had a dollar for every delicious noodle in that bowl, I'd be ramen rich! The broth? A symphony of umami that made my taste buds sing like a choir on a sugar rush. Each slurp was like a hug from a long-lost friend—comforting, nostalgic, and a little messy (but in a good way).
The toppings? Oh, the toppings! The chashu pork was so tender it made butter seem tough. The eggs were perfectly cooked, with yolks that were the golden epitome of Instagram-worthy. And the veggies? They added a crisp, refreshing counterpoint to the rich broth—a little like a culinary duet that hits all the right notes.
Ichiddo Ramen, you've ruined me for any other ramen. My noodle expectations are forever set at an impossibly high bar. The only downside? I'm now convinced I could eat ramen for every meal. Is there a Ramen Anonymous group for that?
So, if you're in the mood for a bowl of happiness that will make your soul do the cha-cha, head over to Ichiddo Ramen. Your taste buds will thank you, even if your jeans might get a...
